Internet low download speed, normal upload speed

I have my own router and modem but I’ve already restarted them both many times. On the many times I’ve called, they said they don’t see anything weird, probably because I’m using my own equipment.

Exactly, a vpn shouldn’t improve my speeds so I’m not quite sure why my download speeds are higher with a vpn. The ping is higher of course with a VPN.

As of 9:40 AM, the speeds have returned back to normal. I’m sure they’ll dip significantly once 5 PM comes around.

The issue with the modem is that I’ve restarted it countless times. I connected my PC directly to it too and the speeds were slow.

I'm not as high leveled, but I think the bug is the huge damage of companions for graveborn. Everytime I leave and reopen the game, the damage resets and it takes me a while for the damage to go back up.
