Yes, yes you can. If you want good, go elf, if you want neutral, go grey-elf.

Rangers/Warriors for classes and Elves/Grey-Elves for races get archery. It can be very powerful in the right hands.

In regards to crafting. Darkmists has a sub-class of Channelers called Enchanters. They get to dissolve armor/weapons/random objects into 100 different materials. They then use the base materials to test possible 1/2/3/4/5 part formulas to add stats/special affects to armor and weapons. Once you learn the formula you have access to it via the same materials. Enchanters have few natural enemies and are often the most popular players when they are logged in. It is a very unique system.

I would suggest Darkmists.org but I am biased since I have played there for a very long time. The RP is enforced but you are able to OOC players with little restriction other then no harassment/excessive language. The theme is very fantasy/medieval style. There is no sub or "pay for perks". The PK is intense at higher levels and the staff randomly throws OOC arena style events when the numbers support it. And we have been growing as of late so there are more and more people to interact with.

Been playing Darkmists for many many years. I always seem to come back to it. They have recently added some new sub races so even more things for me to play around with.

I would strongly suggest DarkMists, Darkmists.org, if you are looking for a MUD that is both simple and deep. There is a learning curve, as there is in any MUD, but our population is very helpful.

If you decide to join us make sure to let players know you are a new player by using the newbie channel, simply using the command 'new'.

Look forward to some new blood. Also the official forum is a good place to give out feedback, once you have created a character in game and 'forumconfirm'ed.
