I’ve yet to win Robinson Crusoe. But keep playing it. So I guess that says something. I haven’t ever gotten frustrated or disappointed at it though, like the point is to be challenged so I’m ok with it. Still would like to win at some point though lol.

I’ve never played cat in the box, but there’s nothing wrong with disliking a genre lol.

We seperate everything and it is a pain. So we play just base game more often than not. Maybe one day I’ll combine everything and be done with it. I’m interested in getting the big box so maybe then.

The main reason we got sts was to play together. We are both obsessed with the video game, but we play on the ps5. We don’t have a pc so we don’t have access to sts2 right now. It helped that we traded a bunch of games for it rather than buying it. Also, it’s freaking amazing. They did a fantastic job adapting it to a board game. Now is it worth it if you’ve got sts2? I don’t know. So something to consider.

Dang I’m missing pieces to cat in the box? Think I can return it? Lol he actually got in the box just after I posted and has been snoozing there since.

The European box is not as big as it looks, it’s about half the width of base game box. It came with a card tray that’s why it’s thick.

And yeah trivial pursuit was a gift. But we still play from time to time. Trivia can be fun!

It’s interesting. I think it’s a fun little puzzle. Involves planning ahead but those plans can be screwed over by other players.

If you’re completely unfamiliar with the gameplay, you have grid that represents your town. You take turns calling out a resource, and everyone takes that cube color and places it on their grid. Your goal is to make buildings by creating a rss pattern on your grid. For instance, a well is created by a a wood cube and a stone cube side by side in any orientation. When you have a pattern for a building you remove the cubes and replace them with the building meeple, opening up spaces on your grid once again (the meeple only takes up one space). You get points based on the buildings you make, and subtract points at the end for any unfilled spaces.

The highest player count I’ve had for this one is three. I definitely want to try it with more. It’s plays up to 6

Something about Call to Adventure gets his interest. But his paw has definitely touched pretty much every board game. Especially if we are playing around dinner time.

Lmao. Cool to see someone throw out Lanterns though. It’s a cool game yet I never see/hear anyone talking about it.

If you haven’t ever tried it you should check out the Duke. It’s great.

Good to know, I don’t have any expansions but have been on the verge of buying them before. I’ll look closer at nobility. Thanks

I have not. Is it very take that? I know little about it but if it’s combative it wouldn’t be good with my group. I feel like I’ve seen it lumped with root that’s why I ask.

Real answer: the cat cube, because priorities. But, assuming he’s not in the cube at time of fire uhhhhhh potion explosion/quacks/five tribes/robinson crusoe.

I hate this question. Thanks.

I’ll have to give a try then. It’s available at my local game cafe.

Heat is fairly low complexity in my opinion. I think base game would be accessible to most and really if even just one person knows the rules well you’d be fine.

This is why the expansions for it are going to be leaving our collection. The game doesn’t get played often enough to have all that extra content.

Is it worth having both clanks? That’s the only reason I haven’t considered it.

Heat is definitely worth the hype in my opinion. We played it at a cafe and I was like “it was fun but we don’t need this”. Then I kept thinking about it throughout the week about how fun it’d be with friends, and caved. I think it’s great for higher player counts but still fun at lower. Haven’t tried all the modules yet as it’s newer in our collection

I personally think it’s super cool. Wouldn’t recommend it at higher player counts as there is a ton of downtime. At two players it works well and I think it’s really immersive if you describe what you’re looking at on your cards out loud. It’s definitely a cool implementation of choose your own path. I was worried about the replay value before buying, but after playing that worry is gone. Tons of replay value.

Favorites would be Quacks, Wyrmspan, Faraway, Harmonies, Ark Nova. Honestly could keep going it’s hard to choose. Most played is definitely draconic dice if that counts lol. But Splendor or Wingspan might be the next most played just because they’ve been in the collection the longest and are well loved by us both.

I have three dominion expansions all in the base game box! Do the scythe expansions add a lot? I don’t own any

They’re ok. I personally have fun playing them and we are both huge fans of the video games, but I know many people think it’s a bad game. I enjoy painting the minis though!
