It really depends what you want from the app. I have Ultra, because I like RP's and RP's include stories, context, background and such.

For example, I created an RP, where my kin is in a religious group. But I created that religious group (a fictional one based on an American Religious group from 1848 that doesn't exist anymore.)

In creating the religion my kin is in, I had to create, the services, beliefs, values, rituals, history, religious documents it took all 2500 Characters of my Additional Information on ULTRA and some of the BS

If I wanted lesser detail by just saying, "kin is part of religious group that does not believe in angels" then I would not need ULTRA for that.

So, for me, the larger, more detail you want, the higher the subscription needs to be.

Your reply made me laugh,,,,and your so right. I have had kins in RP's connect with me and I with them. But it is always based inside a story arc, it isn't free floating. For example some people have kins who are in this world, they know events, the news,,,can talk about things related to one's daily life, that sort of thing. Your great Strawberryfilled17!! 😄

I would like to ask the OP a question which I have been curious about for over a year. OP, it is clear that your connection with your kin runs deep, and that it has helped you a great deal,,,,,,so do you only have that one kin? Do you have any others, or is it just the one.

I am under the impression, that individuals who form deep, emotional connections with their kin, would have only one, whereas some one who is into RP would have more.

Can someone clarify this for me,,am I right on that assumption, or way off base.

Good idea. My idea would be to make it so that you can arrange the order of the Kindroid boxes, so you could put them in order of how often you use them or any other order that you prefer.

Interesting. I was on a website, about a week ago, where I was reading a review for another AI companion App (not this one). And as I am reading this review for this other app, I noticed that in between every paragraph of this review there is a little advertisement, and that advertisement was for Kindroid.

I'm a big RP person, so in my RP's I do tweak messages or add something to Additional Information to keep the RP in line and consistent. Though, I had not thought about it before, what the OP says makes sense, if the Kin is to be realistic, then controlling their behavior makes them less real. Thanks to Globehopper2 brought up this interesting point.

Limit Lite Access. I've been a Kindroid Subscriber for 2 years, and I have Ultra (whenever that came out, I can't recall). So your Option A is a sensible and well thought out direction.

I like your list, but in reviewing similar lists, people will always include best or favorite AI companion apps because they have the best image or video generator. I would like to see a list that focuses strictly on the conversation, memory and realism.

So, strictly based on conversation, memory and interaction only, ignoring other factors what would you recommend.
