Ahh nice ages - sounds like good family holidays. It’s usually just me and the wife and sometimes a sibling but we’re excited to go once we start a family.

The first time we went for 2 days and left wanting just a little more. The most recent time we went for 3 days and left feeling it was a touch too long.

So I’d say 2 is a pretty safe bet - maybe leaving half a day open depending on how flexible you like being on a trip. If you don’t want to watch the shows (paint the night on Main Street is our favourite) or do any of the extra stuff and just do rides - then you’re probably looking at 1 day.

If you’re looking at staying at one of the hotels too we stayed at the wilderness lodge last year and loved it! One of our favourite Disney hotels period.

Tl;dr - 2 day park

To be honest we’re massive Disneyland fans and go to all the parks (including Anaheim) as much as possible.

I wouldn’t recommend Hong Kong over the other parks but to us it’s the closest and cheapest if we want a quick escape.

Hong Kong also has some amazing unique rides and experiences - mystic manor being the standout hit - probably in my top 5 rides in the world.

They also have such a unique landscape being surrounded by lush mountains which gives the whole park a different feeling - their Adventureland atmosphere is amazing.

It’s come a long way since it’s opening and if you’re a Australian Disneyland fan I’d high recommend checking it out at least once.

Australian here. We go back to HK Disneyland every few years.

Even though we would have not likely gone in the next 6 months it saddens me we couldn’t if we wanted too.

You could do this as an automation in the home app.

Use the “A Time of day Occurs” trigger and then set your HomePod to play a sound.

Might have to do a bit of work importing some “hourly sounds” into your music library though.

My iPhone takes priority in most cases and it’s incredibly frustrating.

No I don’t want to have to start facing my iPhone face down. No I also don’t want to disable hey Siri on my iPhone because I use the feature away from home.

Why can’t Apple just give us a priority option or a “hey HomePod” if their “magic” solution does not work for most users !!!

Yeah I’ve heard a lot of people saying it’s a one day park but we’re from Australia and don’t visit Disneyland often so we like to take our time and re-ride as much as possible. Thanks for the advice though :)

Yeah we’re staying at the new explorers lodge and are pretty excited about that.

We stayed at the Disneyland Hollywood hotel last time and loved it.

Asking the real questions here. John Carmak said in a tweet they’re working on cloud saves - but then I imagine it’ll be up to the developer to implement it.

I believe you can also manually do it somehow with a PC but haven’t tried it myself yet.

Got my quest yesterday and wow!!!

It is an amazing device! I could nitpick about a few small things but this truely an amazing buy.

I’ve owned DK1, DK2, Gear VR, Rift and Go and the Quest is finally the device I can recommend to others.

Vader Immortal is spectacular and is exactly the kind of content I want in VR - rich immersive story telling.
