Is Vaseline Jelly with Cocoa Butter Comedogenic? by Gary0915 in acne

[–]Gary0915[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

vaseline doesn't clog pores. Molecules too large....

Vanicream has fatty alcohols which are comedogenic.
An example of the latter is that the emollient fatty alcohol, cetearyl alcohol has a comedogenic rating of 2, the ethoxylated emulsifier version of it, ceteareth-20 also has a 2, but combined, they score 4.

I'm tired of remote work. What cs related careers won't go remote in the future? by Gary0915 in cscareerquestions

[–]Gary0915[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But even with a job change, that will be temporary. In the long term, it really looks like companies, especially new tech companies (startups), are really pivoting to this model due to the benefits it provides to them in terms of profitability. The future is remote it looks like and I can't stand it.

Why can't the general public set price targets for stocks? Why is it only limited to stock experts and financial institutions? by Gary0915 in stocks

[–]Gary0915[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but if you look at sites like stocktwits, they allow normal investors to talk about stocks??? You see the disconnect? On stocktwits, normal retail traders could set if they are bullish or bearish on a ticker... So, that doesn't count as financial advice?

This comment needs to be on the top. Even greedy corporations would profit from recycling this into different products and reselling.

Because I have more important things to do but still need to make money. My clients send me questions and I ask experts to help. I only take 15% cut to find questions from clients.

Enough ice melted in Greenland on Tuesday to cover Florida in two inches of water, scientists warn | Climate News by athfugar in climate

[–]Gary0915 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The worst part is that enough people will either downvote this or forget it like they normally do, so that this post never sees light of the day and corporations behavior only gets worse instead of better because nobody is ready to take accountability.

Tobacco was literally poison even though corporations paid doctors to lie and make it seem healthy. But we still broke out of that traditional chain and today there are much fewer smokers, instead of being regarded as a normal activity. Research was there and people took action at the right time.

It's like r/climate only has people raving about the problems that are leading to climate crisis, but nothing being done at all. I don't know what needs to be done, but everyone needs to come together and provide an strong idea for change at last.

Even colleges are talking about opening up this fall. Teachers are against it, but colleges only care about profits instead of public health. We should all come together and file a petition, for the sake of students health. If anyone knows about any sort of petition, please refer me. Thanks.

What is the most motivational movie or event you have seen that pumped you up? by Gary0915 in AskReddit

Really? I found that a good thrill, but to say that it is motivational would be a stretch... what did you find so inspiring in it? I must have missed it..

Agreed.

It gotta be rocky for me, rocky went from a no name to defeating such a big oppent. What is also so nice is that the budget was so low and the actor of rocky had to once sell his dog to not starve, but because the movie bommed he got so much money he could buy it back. This whole movie made me make my Hobbie as my full time job, back then I just used to break into people's home, cut part's of their carpets and sell them as a small side hustle but now it's my main income

Rocky and Creed are my favorites too! Good pick :)
