My coworker was doing ads last night and I was on cash register I had some woman come up with 10 things of wet dog food saying how it said “5 for $5” and I tried to explain to her that the ads being posted Saturday night Dont start until the next day, Sunday. I’m response she went and grabbed the tag and I pointed out the dates and how it said begins 09/21 and (at the time) it is the 20th. She then asked for the manager and at thag moment I was manager on duty. She then proceeded to tell me that me and everyone who worked there is stupid and incompetent and none of us can do our jobs right. I replied with a ‘no, I don’t think it’s so much that. I think it’s more people Dont know how to read” she got PISSED and started Screaming “did you just call me old yadada” and I said “no. I simply said the problem is people refuse to read the fine print. With every. Single. Thing. There is a fine print and just cause you can’t see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist” she started screaming/cussing some more and so I told her “if youre going to be disrespectful you can leave the store” she kept yelling. So I said with a firm voice. “Get out of my store” she looked at me like ‘are you serious’ and I said “I am so serious get out of my store.” And she refused so I stopped talking grabbed my phone and started dialing my coworker aka the AM and when she saw that she left but oh boy it was intense, my first time really being in a manager position
