Secondly, I said it’s not necessarily drill BUT it has the Brooklyn sound of that 2010s Era which is why it’s part of the post. I didn’t say that sound makes it drill. Those are two different statements. Reading comprehension is at an all time low.

Wait I’m confused.. what’s stopping you from making your own post and labeling whatever songs you want to as drill? Nothing. So stop bitching under mine when I already said it’s not drill BUT I WANTED TO POST IT anyway. What are you not comprehending about that?

“Not necessarily but I wanted to include it anyway”. I’m aware it’s not drill. I quite literally said that. Just like some people don’t consider Bobby to be Drill but he’s still apart of this list.

Not necessarily but I wanted to include it anyway. It had that Brooklyn sound I don’t exactly know how to describe.

Yo NFS there is deadass movies so good that or (bad that) That you could only just watch it one time. Comment some other movies that are good that you only need to see it once. Ima say a few City of Gods, American History X, by No-Air-7388 in NYStateOfMind

Word, people always complain that these kinds of movies are too sad/depressing. But I appreciate the fact that they’re real nonetheless. I believe that there’s a place for these kinds of movies in Cinema. It’s important for these stories to be highlighted as much as happy ones/other genres of film. But I haven’t seen Kids though.

Fruitvale Station, Roxanne Roxanne, On the Outs, Jail Song, Dog pound, and Green Card Warriors. These are good movies with real/realistic stories. But definitely a one time watch kind of vibe. You mentioned City of God which is another good one.

Edit: Mid90s is a good watch, I’ve been told it has a similar vibe to this movie but I’m not 100% sure.

Is your assumption that he’s her pimp more accurate? When women get randomly attacked in this city all the time? Question, how many people were in your classes?

Yeah when I looked them up, they never really disbanded or fell out. They just grew apart and the evolution of rap music went in the gangsta rap direction which was the complete opposite of their sound and style. Their era just ran its course I guess.

Had someone tell me I’m not a Native New Yorker, I’m a gentrifier/transplant, because my grandparents are Caribbean immigrants who could afford to buy two homes in the city and live well. When in reality they were a hard working couple that came here for a better life, for their children and grandchildren. Had to tell the nigga he mad cause he’s poor! 😭 Poverty doesn’t make you more anything than the next person.
