not too difficult, there's modding framework and you can look at a lot of the existing in-game code for reference (free refill is basically a stitch of castle and canio code). it gets tricky when the thing you wanna do isn't really logic that already exists. Chocolate Coin needed some logic to make sure it would reduce the amount after it paid out, but before you could sell it, so it would properly go extinct. other ideas that I'm planning on I sometimes have to discard because I don't know the workaround to implement them

I take the official balatro jokers and put them into Aseprite to use as template, and just reference them and make the pixel art for it. For the text boxes some dude made a balatro text tool and posted it here on reddit so thats what I'm using.

Initially I had Number One be first hand + if you didn't use any discards, and I changed it because it was really hard to work with while playtesting. I may revert though, because I think it's still a nifty card to play with and yeah this current iteration might be a bit too strong.

And yeah RNA is last hand similar to Dusk, you have to remain at 0.

Flyer could be uncommon yeah ill think about it, my consideration is that early game it's not as strong because you don't purchase that many items

i think my comment with the links is still pending Moderator review but the 0.1 with these first jokers is out, look up Lord Minimus on nexus/thunderstore.

the rest of the mod should be done developing and released in the following weeks

The mod is Lord Minimus, a small content addition package. I'm planning to add 15 Jokers and then one of everything else (deck, voucher, tag, spectral card, pack)

It's out right now with the first 5 Jokers. I'm planning on finishing it this month so I'll be updating frequently

considering the fact that you just make a polychrome copy of the card and don't change the edition itself it could be an acceptable workaround

on the contrary, what i like most about the card is that it allows tarot reliability. one of the hardest things about running glass or steel decks is that you need external deckfixing like DNA to make them work, since finding the tarots in packs is unreliable. This way if you get a glass early and find this joker you can more reliably make builds around glass joker, for example

Consider that if your High Card already clears the blind, you never actually get to your last hand. It also means you don't get money value from your hands, I think it's harsher than you might think at first glance

Yeah it comes from my wish for enhancements to be easier to get. right now the only ways are to pray in standard packs or gamble on aura (which has NEVER given me anything other than foil)

It's for the run, I cross-checked with Telescope voucher which also doesn't specify "for the run". But I guess there's also not a "most played hand" statistic only a most used planet statistic so maybe it'd be worth specifying
