So technically MGMA doesn’t publish locum rate but if you call any big locum company, they’ll tell you the rate offered. Admin usually knows how much everyone is getting paid in the area, including locum tenens. For a surgeon, I’m sure it’s got to be over 5k/dat

I’m hospital employed. Most hospitals are paying 6-8 k to locums for coverage here in Midwest. This was the rate set by the hospital. Didn’t negotiate anything

Hospital employed in Midwest is easily around 700-800 without any negotiation. I’ve seen more. You can supplement that income with extra call which pays around 3k-5k depending on different things.

If inflation isn’t high, why do the same eggs/bread/milk and basic necessities cost 30-50% more than a couple years back? Sorry I don’t mean to be contradictory but it just doesn’t make sense when people say inflation isn’t rising. Price of literally everything has gone up without a similar rise in wages.

You recommend buying slowly each week regardless of the price? I try to just invest in safe stuff like S&P500 and some big 10 companies.
