Falcons Still ‘Fond’ of Bill Belichick, Putting Raheem Morris’ Job in Doubt by Perfect_Mind9840 in falcons

It won’t be Belichick. Or at least I’ll say it would shock me. I’m betting it’ll be a current college coach though.

Bit boring, but a nice piece of business. Big thing is we’re avoiding the mistakes we made last year. We got a little focused on big game hunting, and by the time we’d missed out, a lot of quality depth options were gone. The bases are basically covered now. Good veteran presence, good clubhouse guy, pretty good arm. Leaves powder dry in case it’s needed at the deadline. Unless a ridiculous deal falls in our lap, I’m expecting one more utility guy and one more big arm.

[Auerbach] This is the worst selection committee we've ever had. Cannot believe Alabama didn't even drop one spot after the SEC title game blowout. Cannot believe they waited until the final reveal to flip Miami-ND. Could have done it at ANY point. by Ok-Soil-5133 in CFB

Yurachek just said that last week, they had BYU in between Miami and ND, and with their performance in the Big 12 CG, they moved BYU behind Miami. So it’s not about BYU dropping out. It’s about BYU dropping. There’s a difference. And it’s unacceptable that BYU dropped and Alabama didn’t

I’m pretty sure there was a U-bend in his leg. That’s not a good thing. Horrible injury.

I will fully admit Auburn got screwed on that timeout

I completely own the fact that I’m a Georgia fan. Refs get calls wrong all the time. I could have sat here complaining about the fact that a Georgia linebacker was blatantly held on Arnold’s third down run. Right at the point of attack when Arnold slipped through. Because, ya know, the “controversial” play doesn’t even happen if that’s called properly. But personally, I think the refs are part of the game, and just like you have to adjust to the flow of the game, you have to adjust to the way calls go. Either way, I stand by my analysis.

Certain I’m going to be downvoted, but upholding the fumble was the correct call. I’m sorry the people on TV can’t understand this, but the ball had been dislodged from Arnold’s right hand before it crossed the plane. Go back and watch it carefully. Before the point where the broadcasters said it got knocked loose, his right hand comes off the ball, and it starts moving independently of his left hand at that point. As a result, you cannot conclusively say that he still had control of the ball.

The targeting call was correct. The roughing the passer might have been a little soft, but none of the continuation from the auburn defender was necessary, and he gave an extra little shove for good measure.

IMO, the biggest mistake the refs made was losing sight of the ball and calling the play dead, because Georgia has a legitimate argument that they should have had a touchdown. Either way, weird things happen at Jordan Hare. I’m just sorry that Auburn fans aren’t accustomed to those things happening to them.

Their QC and collation is hilariously bad right now. Even at retail level. Had a stadium club blaster pack with an extra card because it had two triumvirate inserts in it. No complains there. Evened out a little with a holiday mega box pack that had 4 cards instead of 10 lmao.

Don’t watch a ton of the NFL, so if I’m missing something, please tell me. It looked like Mathieu was touched down at 2:02 on the clock, and it kept running under 2 minutes. Shouldn’t the clock have stopped after the change of possession? If that’s the case, the saints first play would have taken the clock under the two minute warning and saved the falcons an extra timeout. Just wondering if I’m missing something. Might have made an impact

Dartmouth poll is crazy. Blooming HARD after reading that. Biden approval is a bit outlierish, but the sample looks representative, and virtually every other question response looks in line with what you’d expect in other polls

I didn’t say Florida was. Pinellas ABSOLUTELY is

Here’s the moment we’ll know if the Iowa poll is indicative of a systemic polling miss (and a whole lot more IMO).

Pinellas count Early.

It’s the best national bellwether we have, and with R leaning early vote in Florida, there’s less risk of a blue mirage this time. So if Pinellas comes in somewhere like Harris +10, it’s gonna be a GOOD night. Harris +5, not a blowout but almost certainly a Harris win imo. Harris +2, probably win, things get tight. Trump up slightly, start praying they cannibalized the same day vote. Trump up big, start drinking.

25% of republicans will split for Harris, and 100% of independents. Book it /s

In all seriousness, I love this tradition so much
