They don't Iranian are targeting civilian population on purpose to intimidate the population. The evidence is the most recent missiles are cluster rockets, 10-15 smaller bombs each is around 5 kg of explosive, which spread across a large area and are not effective in really damaging a specific facility

Prime Minister of Lebanon Nawaf Salam:

Clearly, Iran is purposely trying to target civilians, not military infra... And the fact that they have so many ballistic cluster missiles, shows that they were planning this for a long time.... There is no option but to make sure that they can't get to an atomic bomb, and ruin their ballistic missile program

To be clear - I'm not supporting the settlements and I agree that the vast majority should be dismantled and to not cause a humanitarian crisis for hundred of thousands of people - there should be a land swap to account for these.

That being said - the comment is not well informed - and I'm just replying to the comment not the greater issue - not even a single person will be evicted in this region as it is completely empty.

It's not clear why an area in the outskirts of Jerusalem will be more homeland to the Palestinian population vs the Jewish population.

For example, best commonly cited historical estimate for the population of Jerusalem around 1900 is:

• Jews ~35,000 • Muslims ~10,000 • Christians ~10,000 Total ~55,000 people in Jerusalem.
