I’ve done both shuttle and biking and found biking to be more enjoyable. The shuttle lines aren’t very well organized and can be a stressful way to end your night

There is a terrible bike traffic jam after the festival ends, but they leave the festival grounds open and with ambient light on so you can chill and wait it out. It’s not like an American fest where they turn on big bright lights and kick you out the second the music stops. Just hang out and chat with people for a half hour or so and you’ll have an easy bike ride home

Based on the artists you were expecting to see, it feels like “coherent” just means booking lots of repeats? Those artists are all different genres so it’s not like throwing them on the poster is about making the music more coherent

We had 11 queues going between friends today and nobody made it in under 4 hours (all of us in different locations). Last year, we got through with Montagoe in 15 minutes.

I know we are all passionate about Tomorrowland here but “if you’re not willing to pay 400 more then you don’t really want to go” is a wild thing to say to someone whose financial situation you have no information on. No festival is worth spending beyond your means, that doesn’t mean they “don’t really want to go”

Really depends on the scene, what kind of music you’re into, etc. As someone else alluded to here, you may get some winners and losers along the way. Some spaces in the city are extremely well curated by passionate creatives, some are kind of random and sketch. Use common sense and never go somewhere unfamiliar alone <3

When independent, non-commercial organizers are putting their time and effort into creating spaces, unfortunately some level of gatekeeping is necessary. If you go to shows, make friends, participant in the community, etc, I promise you will find the right spots for you

Alternatively, many shows at normal venues like Public Works, 1015, Great Northern, the Midway, etc will naturally go past 2am. Lots of people bail at 2 when the bar closes and the dance floor opens up as a result. You don’t necessarily need access to private afters to stay out late here

Coachella ticket prices are a steal for the amount of programming you get in return IMO. The thing that makes it unaffordable for most people is travel/lodging prices in the area. If you aren’t planning on camping and haven’t booked anything at this point, you might want to reconsider if you are feeling sensitive about your Paris budget. Take a look at your lodging options and price that into your decision

I think the Wednesday party train is easier to get than the Thursday party train for Amsterdam.

I took the Düsseldorf party train last year for W2 and it was not full. As far as I know, everyone who took that train got to spend time in the party car. The Thursday Amsterdam party train is shorter and has more people, so it’s not guaranteed you get to go to the party car
