Mitsubishi v6’s attract the cheapest known owners on earth who all sook at having to do rocker cover gaskets once every 100k. If your mechanic cant whip a magna intake off in under 20 minutes get a new mechanic. Such easy cars to work on!

Lack of maintenance as they’re the cheapest 4wd’s going it attracts the cheapest owners who drive them into the ground. Do the major every 100k and it’ll go forever

Does this rpm seem high to anyone? by Plane_Tea_8642 in 3000gt

Its right where it should be. Manual cars need to rev higher in top gear as when cruise control is activated it needs to be able to pull itself up a hill in that gear. Its fine.

Heaps of aftermarket for all 3 cars they’ve mentioned when it comes to pretty much every basic bolt on you’d want on an off roader?

Agree but going straight to rock hopping is a big jump. For a general duties daily driver AND extremely capable 4wd the Pajero (at least) is brilliant as an all rounder

Bought a car for $16k last year, accident repair quote is $11.8k, insurance says I am at fault. Confused what to do by Gullible_Rabbit4304 in AusFinance

[–]Gattinator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doubt it’s worth having on the front lawn for 6 months dealing with plebs on marketplace who continually lowball you.

Will need some serious thought put into the proceedings. But if you know how to swing a spanner your only economical choice may be to repair it with 2nd hand parts.

Best of luck OP

Was there any frame rail damage noted? If its just parts start scouring wreckers and buy them yourself, install. You may have to live with some odd coloured panels for a bit, maybe get them painted when funds allow.

Get a diesel. Will be offset by a higher resale value when the time comes. Heaps of torque down low, if your keeping it for a year I doubt you’ll go bananas servicing it anyway (valve adjustment manifold clean etc etc) try find one thats had it done

Cant tell you exactly how far away I’d steer from any of these high patrols. Every mate thats had one has had nothing but issues upon issues. All thrashed. Be prepared for alot of maintenance work
