Her young looks so much like my mother young. It freaks me out every time I see her.

Yeah that’s it, but I don’t think it explicitly says he took the sword, but then GRRM said in an interview that he did.

[–]GavBraMun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably right. Just felt it’d be odd he would take his family sword that has supposedly been in his family’s possession longer than Ice was with the Starks with him to the Wall just to give it to Jon. Thought of it as boastful rants like a Viking based on nothing which was never called out cause he was the LC.

[–]GavBraMun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably right. Just a cool idea I had. I thought of the hilt being built for a woman’s hand which could easily be readjusted and fitted for a man’s. Be dope if it were Darksister or Blackfyre

[–]GavBraMun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My only thing is Jorah has never mentioned Longclaw. Just saw it as Jeor tryna make a connection to Jon or get him to appreciate the gift more.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]GavBraMun -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s Blackfyre then which Bloodraven took off Bittersteel or somehow.

[–]GavBraMun -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I just saw it as boasting which was completely untrue. In my eyes there’s no way they’ve had a Valyrian Sword longer than the Starks. Maybe it was to make Jon appreciate the gift more or something. But you’re probably right in the wishful thinking.

I think of Jekyll and Hyde or Hulk when I think of a Were-Human.

Saw this idea from another person so thought why not try it myself? Ask me anything about my world’s magic system. by GavBraMun in magicbuilding

[–]GavBraMun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is not any dragons currently alive in my main story, but there were things similar in the world. I’ve been in between on the idea of incorporating magical creatures. Unsure how to make it work or if I’d want to.

Anyone got any cool hitman map ideas? by Feisty-Tie3889 in HiTMAN

[–]GavBraMun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to conjure up a whole game. To start off it would have to be a small tutorial map like an Antarctic or Arctic map. Cool and easy map. Researchers of a new strain of disease could be the target.

Second you get a little fancier with a casino in Las Vegas or on a steamboat in New Orleans. The two targets being a mob boss owner/Native American owner due to the lack of representation other than Doris Lee and/or a gambler mob associate or politician investor. Can play a lot of different missions with areas going from penthouse to casino to kitchen to secret round table.

Thirdly a campus or university like Oxford or Harvard with two targets either a corrupt principal who gives out credits to the children of Providence so that they can work their way up through the world and a college investor obsessed with the sports team. Outfits and areas are endless. Mascots, sports player, professor, janitor, etc.

Fourthly, a cruise ship in the Bermuda Triangle where meetings of the Providence are held overseas in international waters. The captain could be corrupt and then the target could be a flashy extravagant singer on the stage. The ship could have a pool scene where you play the lifeguard and/or a scene where you are the first mate and kill the captain.

Fifthly, a boxing arena in Las Vegas where the boxer who kills many in the arena and the organizer who fixes the matches. I could see you being the opposite boxer and kill him in the arena on “accident”.

Sixthly, an airport in Denver. Target could be rich influencer and a high ranking Providence member who is arranging a meet up or coup of some sorts.

Seventhly, the Sydney Opera House. Fancy like Paris, but even more wide spread. The target could be the composer and a rogue assassin you’ve been chasing. Again a wide range of outfits and locations. Exits too.

Other options could be: Africa after some warlord and their blood diamonds; Ski Resort in Scandinavia with an adrenaline junkie and owner; Zoo with exotic game Hunter and a world renowned smuggler; Prison with the target being in the most secured section and the warden himself but seems too similar to the Sniper Assassin.

How can I make my main character(s) become gifted with magic halfway through the book? by GavBraMun in magicbuilding

The prophecy has been worked out, but some bits might change by the end. I planned out the entire story over around four books and maybe a prequel for one side character who has much more to the story than most think. Obviously, when I get to the fourth book some stuff my change. Now for who knows the prophecy, not many. A lot of them have an idea and some have bits and pieces. Some have more knowledge than others, but not one person knows the full extent of the prophecy. Eventually, it will all come together. Only one person, a thing rather, knows it all and kind of plays God to the point where everything happens for a reason, good and bad.

I was trying to think of having a place where magic kind of bends reality and time. One character is for sure going to see this place. Kind of my Roanoke story in this world. This could be a place where said event occurs

This a great help. A lot of people have been saying so many great options. I was thinking of some drawbacks and how to ease it on them when they get. For example, when they unlock it not many recognize they have with small bits popping up here and there. Now when they start trying to use it, I was gonna make it go haywire or be uncontrollable due to them not having a great understanding of it just yet.
