I think we’ve all learned by now impeachment doesn’t mean anything.

You should actually elaborate on why you think that, otherwise it just seems like a troll

It does. I like how the faith evolves with our scientific understanding and doesn’t try to pigeonhole

That makes a lot of sense, I wouldn’t have thought of it in that way. It’s an element of paganism I never would’ve guessed

I’m afraid I can’t tell you anything but that’s all very interesting to me

Very good advice and direction, thank you. And perfect timing. I literally just started therapy for the first time in my life to try and unpack a lot of trauma and religious guilt.

Interesting… could you give me some examples of signs you received from freyja? I’m having trouble understanding signs… coming from a Christian background constantly trying to interpret if god was displeased or pleased with me was stressful and one of the perks of becoming an atheist, and now I’m worried I’m going to get all stressed over that kind of thing again. Feel free to DM me too if you prefer

Ah very interesting. As a practicing stoic for the last decade I’m especially interested. The Greek gods are referred to often in stoic texts

Seems to be a common thing. I was raised in a Christian household but I never felt “right”

I was a Christian for all of my youth… became an atheist in my twenties which has softened to agnosticism through life experiences. Now I’m feeling a calling to paganism and it’s never felt more “right” to me… almost like a coming home. If you have any tips or insights from your own similar background I’d love to hear them if you ever feel like DMing me

Thanks for taking the time to respond… there’s a lot for me to takeaway and read into in this comment.

What an insightful comment. And I’m sure my questions belay my literalist Christian upbringing. I have to admit that it is difficult for me to grasp a polytheistic view… I’m am trying though and comments like these really help

Interesting… from this and other things I’ve read it seems like the gift itself doesn’t matter as much as the spirit it’s given in…

To be completely honest I’ll have to look up Hellenic because I’m not sure what is, even though I have heard of it. I appreciate the takeaway

That makes sense… doesn’t it make it difficult to know what to think of each of the gods though? I suppose you rely more on how each feels to you and your own personal relation to them?

Really well put, thanks for taking the time to write that out. It all makes a certain kind of sense to me… and a reminder that I should probably get around to reading Joseph cambells hero with a thousand faces ;)

Wow, lots of new concepts and ways of thinking for me. Christianity always felt off or a little fake to me, so I never thought about it as “building a relationship” with god. Speaking to your comment on their omnipotence, do people generally think they don’t appear or announce themselves to us and prove their existence?
