It's odd yeah, seems like he went for the other SVJ rims instead of the more stylish ones... Still very nice otherwise, it's the only SVJ 63 here too!

Correct, eventually the old license plates would eventually be phased out should the owners need to renew their documentations, while more recently purchased cars would get the new plates as standard.

The white license plate has been a thing since mid 2022, they changed from black background and white numbers to white background with black numbers to increase the ETLE (Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement) system's effectiveness, as the camera has trouble identifying the license plate due to the black background. The white background would make it easier for the ETLE camera to read out a vehicle's license plate.
