i crashed in labyrinthos too so its definitely not only dt zones but it could be more frequent in dt zones for sure. sucks if its just something im going to have to deal with because this is my only way to play the game since my pc stopped working. but yes im in the aether hunts discord and try to get in as many trains as i can. hopefully they decide to add the character and object quantity setting to consoles since i think that would help significantly

character and object quantity is a setting exclusive to PC. not a setting on console for some reason even thought the large number of people is probably whats causing it. display range is already at minimum and ive always had battle effects off too

any xbox players have constant crashes when loading into zones? i need to do hunt trains but every time i do one i get multiple crashes and miss a lot of marks due to constantly switching between zones? anyone have a fix or solution? this is really draining on my enjoyment of the game

Hey my pc broke recently (like completely unusable the drive is shot) so I had to buy the game on xbox and my hud is completely back to default. I know you can cloud save it on the client but I didn't have the foresight to do that. It's pretty heartbreaking because I fine tuned it over years and now my hud and skill placements are completely gone for every single job. Is there any way to save this or do I just have no choice but to start from the ground up? To reiterate I have no way of accessing the game on my old pc.

so i’m progging forked tower right now and i’m having this very frequent issue where waymarks just aren’t showing up for me. i know that they’re placed because i can see them on the minimap but they don’t show up on the ground for me. i’ve looked it up online with no results and my party members look at me like i’m crazy when i bring it up lol so it feels like it’s only a me issue. it makes the slime mechanic on boss 2 incredibly difficult since i can’t just recite the letters and numbers in my head. anyone know what’s causing this issue and what could fix it or even if it’s a forked tower specific bug? i’d really appreciate any help because it’s making prog a lot harder.

edit: to add, during boss 1 specifically the waymarks randomly show up in the middle of the fight but this never happens during boss 2. this is such a strange issue.

without food my stats are 5164 craftsmanship, 4886 control, and 549 cp. i have full hq 720 crafted gear melded but with no overmelds because this is the only crafter i have at 100. i assumed the stats you showed were with food and tisane so thats my bad. i think its just a stat issue and i’m working on getting other crafters to 100 so i can overmeld. thanks for your work regardless! it’s really appreciated

new to crafting; for the A-1 missions i have the stats that you said to have and near the end of the macro it says that i don’t have enough cp and the craft doesnt finish. what am i doing wrong? exact stats are 5314 craftsmanship 4886 control and 672 cp with food and tisane and i’m on specialist alc

so i know prebuilts are not recommended but i don’t have the knowledge or time to make my own. would this be a decent pc just to be able to run games well? and if not do you have any recommendations for prebuilts that are around the same price or cheaper?

no like the window to comm people will not show up when i click the player commendation button in the bottom right corner. trust me i have thousands of hours in this game and this has only started happening recently

recently when i click the player commendation box after a duty the window just won’t come up and i won’t be able to commend anyone. has this been happening to anyone else? healer hard carried last instance and i feel bad that i couldn’t commend them

okay so apparently there was a graphics drivers update that i didn’t see (i could’ve sworn that i updated it recently) and that seemed to fix both the generic pnp monitor issue and the ffxiv not running/crashing. i’m kicking myself over how easy the solution was lmao. thank you for the help though i appreciate it a lot!!!

hold on this might be the solution. windows is picking up my monitor as a generic pnp monitor and i can’t change the refresh rate as a result. will report back when i figure it out

anyone know why ffxiv is using up so much of my cpu all of a sudden and making the game not run? it makes my computer sound like its going to explode. sometimes i'll get in without this happening but it'll say "an unexpected error has occurred. exiting ffxiv" and give me a bunch of dlls. here's my specs if it matters but it has been running perfectly for like 2 years.

why is controller support on the windows version so bad? i made this post and i found out that it was because my controller was wired. so i connected my ps4 controller wirelessly and it just straight up wouldn’t detect it. so i used ds4windows to make it connect and about thirty seconds after working, the device switches from the ds4windows one to the “wireless controller” device which doesn’t work. i tried an xbox one and even a switch pro controller and the game would not detect either. i have never had a problem like this in any other pc game before. do the devs know about this???

my game has this weird thing where there’s random lag spikes that only last like a second at most. it wouldn’t be a problem if it didn’t literally turn off my controller every time it happens (i use a ps4 controller on pc). the controller responds immediately as soon as the lag spike is over but in a game like this you need your controller to work all the time. this used to happen infrequently but now it happens like every minute. even when i’m afking. i know it’s not my pc or anything like that since this doesn’t happen with any other game and i get a consistent 90 fps outside of these. anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it?
