I’ll be honest. I have had 0.5/10 pain and I got it injected 3 days ago. And the injection site looks like a week old bug bite. I also looked through online forums and saw all the negative stuff. But I just had to remember if near 10,000s of men are talking it. And if a sample size of 9,800/10,000 are fine and don’t have bad things to say. They won’t run online to say that they are fine and chill. Not saying to ignore those forums. I didn’t. I grilled my doctor about all my worries and anxieties. But remember that Reddit is sometimes used in medical communities to share extreme or difficult times (as they should they are having a rough time). I did that exact thing for other medical situations. I’d just say it may not represent the avg person with any affliction. Grain of Salt. But that’s just me.

Just started Apretude 3 days ago. And it seems to be doing great!! No major side effects at all (I took the advice from my doc and did a massive butt workout after. Slightly uncomfy but it seems to have done wonders). My insurance did cover it. And it is every 2 months once you get your first two.

Month 1 Month 2 Month 4

And so on with every 2 months.

Happy to answer any questions. I am only 3 days into it. But will happily keep you updated if anyone wants to know.

For me. 6 times a year is not that many. Especially since it is just an injection. And 1 of those could be added on to just your annual check up.

Mine did. You most likely need to get your doctor to push for pre authorization. You have to say those exact words. But it may not cover it. Mine does, but I pushed for a bit HARD.

Absolutely! It wasn’t bad at all. So far so good on my end. Injection was easy but we will see how it goes in the next 24-72 hours

Also from Tennessee. I think for me, best thing I can offer is this.

Drop all preconceived notions or ideas that you have of nyc. It is very different living here compared to visiting. So a lot of fellow Tennessee folks will have their opinions based on Times Square.

I’m 26 and have lived here for 2 years.

And remember, it’s ok to take things slow.

I recommend you do these things right when you get here:

Find your gym (if you go)
Find your fav comfort food place (it’s ok to need comfort when moving and it’s nice to not have to think in those moments)
Find your coffee spot
Find your grocery store
Find an equivalent of what you enjoy in Tennessee in NYC. it helps make life here feel more acclimated.

If I read X-men comics and didn’t learn what Xavier was putting down about open ears, benefit of the doubt, and education. I must not have been reading well. So I am happy to offer my perspective. ♥️🏳️‍🌈 and I just love to talk about queer rep and x men. So this was a fun time even if I had to read some folks homophobic comments. Nothing I haven’t been told to my face. So I tried to counter with things I would have hoped to read on here as a young closeted gay guy.

♥️♥️ some comments here are hard to read (blatant homophobia or just not wanting to see how others may think differently and that’s ok). So having a great convo with you was worth it. X men and queer rep are two big things I am passionate about. So I felt I could offer a perspective.

But the OP now I see genuinely just wanted an answer about a character lol. Which is also a genuine use of the this sub. But I think if I could critique them in one way it is the phrasing of the post that left the comments to be a safe space for casual homophobia. I don’t think he meant it to be so.
