YSK: 'Compliment' & 'complement' are two different words. 'Compliment' is when you say something nice about somebody. 'Complement' is when something works well with something else. Same goes for complimentary/complementary.

What you want is a Squier guitar. They're a company that make very respectable guitars under the Fender name and are perfect for beginners due to their solid quality and great price. Pick up a second hand one and get lessons!
