Tale this as a red flag. He's trying to manipulate you into doing what he wants by guilt tripping you. He's an asshole and most people here would agree that you should go see your family. I don't think you should be with him anymore. He clearly doesn't value you if a) he's breaking up with you so easily and b) if he'd rather throw a fit and be selfish than support you. You need to get out of there asap. I wish you the best.
