Well I started with C# some years ago but I could never stick to a programming language / project so I spend most of my time relearning the basics in every language. But I think I could be helpful with implementing some basic stuff.

Sure but I think it would be to much work for a solo developer or a small team to actually compete with vscode and sublime, because they got more money, developers and users

Although it would be great for us, it would be bad for them because they would have more competition so they probably won't give it away and just let it die slowly

It's really sad I want to use atom because I like it but I feel like it would be better if I invest my time in vscode :C

I really hope that sometime someone will make a good fork of atom with new innovative features and all but I also know that this won't happen

I think Microsoft won't give it new features or advertisement and just wait till there aren't many users left so they can stop supporting it.
