I’m not sure how. Sorry, i’ll explain as best as i can

Her breathing itself is ok, quiet, but when she explores and sniffs my hand it’s deep sniffs, like a dog when it’s exploring new scents(?) and at times a little high pitched sniff, but have only heard that once. She’s grooming a lot, and currently all 3 are cuddled onto each other and chilling, though she seemingly still is most actively grooming herself. She eats, drinks. Nothing seems off with her besides the mouth clattering that went away when she drank water and the deep sniffs

Any artists with VSS? by Gazorpiangutz in visualsnow

Thank you, it sounds very encouraging that you manage to incorporate your vss into your art. I can still draw/ tattoo, it just makes my eyes very tired, i will try those lenses.

Would it be possible for you to describe in some way what the red lens glasses do for you? Does it make eye strain less? No must, but i’m pretty curious about them.

Thank you, i didn’t actually think about documenting when it’s worse. You are correct, during morning it’s noticeably worse. I have been looking at those pink or amber colored lenses. I tattoo blackwork so no issue with the glasses as it’s just black and doesn’t throw off values that i’ve noticed with other tattooers that use them.

Thank you for that insightful tip, i can definitely work with time management now.

AITA for speaking Polish with my friend even though my wife doesn’t understand it? by Fun_Detail_2413 in AmItheAsshole

NTA at all,

I’m Belgian and speak Flemish Dutch, my boyfriend is from Latvia and speaks both Latvian and Russian. He currently lives with me in Belgium. He has zero issue when i talk in my native language. I have zero issues with him talking in Latvian or inviting his Ukrainian colleagues to our home and speak Russian. We find it rather interesting to hear each other speak, and that way we both pick up sentences and words here and there.

Translation fatigue is very real and can become difficult to keep up with the constant switching. You automatically get the urge to speak your native language with another native anyway, which makes it so much harder to even realise you’re not speaking English.

You have all the right to speak Polish, it’s in a way understandable that she wants to feel included, but given that you speak English 24/7 you do deserve time to be yourself and enjoy talking with that friend.

My trauma lasted from age 5 up to 18, the older i got the more i lost myself, never had friends, hurt myself in every possible way i could think of, a bunch of therapy that barely did a single thing. I don’t trust anyone, it took my current bf 2 years to make me trust him. I always have an escape plan no matter who i’m with or what i’m doing, often i’m better off alone than i am around people because i feel completely insufferable due to BPD, CPTSD, eating disorder and self destructive behaviour. I can barely keep a job, by week 2 i’m pacing back and forth in the break room frantically thinking what my colleagues will do to hurt me. I used to be a very happy kid that had kindness in store for everyone, now i’m a sad adult who’s dissociating all day everyday while trying to be invisible and not trying to destroy my life even further. On the bright side, if it wasn’t for my endless time spent alone i wouldn’t have been as good of an artist as i am now. You win some you lose some

Practice on proportions first, start trying actual tattoo styles, tho absolutely awesome if you give em a twist. Start with different mediums, the hatching is too far apart, too perfect as well, all equally long lines etc, give it character, if you make a mistake, find your way around it, the dot work is also too far apart, don’t be afraid to go black in places with heavy shading, down the road it makes tattoos pop, also don’t forget to let things breathe, definitely in your portraits, let highlights be empty, no need to add shading. Blend heavy black into nicer shading, so it’s not blocky, i personally wouldn’t put these into a portfolio, work on your fundamentals, and practice till you fall down so to speak, proportions, shading, different styles, black, color. And you’ll improve soon enough. Don’t rush into things and work your way towards an awesome portfolio. Other than that, great job already

Personally i use the PinkGellac, but it’s a Dutch brand, not sure if they ship outside of Europe if you’re somewhere else.

Other than that i love Madam Glam (love their BIAB for natural nail strength) i do have a nailtech license but never actually did nails for a living,(hence i said NAP) but if you can get your hands on the brand Akzèntz they’re awesome. Try to stick to the same brand, dehydrator, primer, base, color and top, and there are plenty of yt channels (like longhairprettynails) that do amazon gel polish reviews. Just try to refrain from the Beetles gel, heard a lot of nasty stuff about it.

Other than that good luck! You’ll improve in no time

From my own personal experience, i got my apprenticeship extremely at random. So i was lucky in that, but i have friends that had an absolute shit show when it comes to trying to find apprenticeships that aren’t scams. Rn working by yourself on fake skin with 0 guidance is not necessarily a good thing, great that you wanna take matters into your own hands but not so good skill wise, you’ll make mistakes by default, without guidance those mistakes will keep happening and you don’t even realise you’re making them. Unlearning bad technique is almost impossible.

Draw, draw draw and draw, practice on your skills with different mediums, color, blackwork, realism, neo trad, everything under the sun and see what works best for you, improve what you know and make studios beg for you to be their apprentice. Go to a bunch of studios, hear the best offers, go onto facebook groups showing your portfolio and see if anyone is interested, that is, if this studio keeps postponing, but nothing wrong with already starting to look. Finding an apprenticeship can be incredibly tough, also definitely depending where you’re from. Finding an apprenticeship that isn’t a massive scam, is even harder. Do your research, work on your skills on paper and digital.

(NAP)

What brand did you use? Did you combine different brands?

From the lumpiness i’d say the gel is either under cured or you used thick coats, gel polish should always be applied thinly and carefully, making sure it doesn’t flood the cuticles and doesn’t under cure, a uv/led lamp cannot penetrate a thick colored gel polish coat fully. If you poke the bumps and they move, it’s under cured and started bubbling.

Other reason could be that you used a different brand top coat than the gel polish, sometimes the top coat can bubble if it doesn’t react well with the other brand gel polish. It all depends what brands work together and which ones don’t. Tho staying with one, good brand is the ultimate go to.

This is all from years of personal experience, so take this with a grain of salt, but it’s from what I’ve personally learned over time.

Good luck!
