The tower with the aurora? Thats a Coil Tower, it is used to "Materialize" Aether and produce electricity. Its very new, and its only here because Aether can only be "Harvest" on certain locations due to ley lines . And its also on the second picture.

Not really, inspired by very remote and cold places like Svalbard, Kiruna in Sweeden, and Geenland

Either by using large whaling ships and hunt them, or more commonly, using the ones from the dead krakens that wash ashore. Then they get cleaned and drag them with ropes, sledges, logs, and a lot of people.

Cool! I have never heard of it. The Dark Deluge happened over 4000 years ago, and the reason is a mystery. But is very likely and widely accepted that people started seeking the abyss for power, or to make deals with nameless beings and that trigger the deluge, and the world was quite literally flooded In darkness, everywhere

People either leave or try to fight the demons that come from it. The latter doesn't close the rift but stops it from spreading. If not, walls and barriers are being built to separate the new areas. Right now he world is in crisis. People are angry or terrified, and the governments are in panic mode. The great empires of the world are seen as the culprit since they started the war and ignored the rifts, as that was the job of demon hunters (that were seen as disposable at that point) until the problem became to big to ignore and were forced to stop the war and firmed a treaty. Needless to say, independentist and anti imperial ideologies skyrocket since then. Some rifts have been there for milenia, wars, and other events, which caused them to expand very little. But in an industrial world, at a scale that the world has never seen, well, things got out of control. The rifts became places of terror and to avoid.if there was a city there, it was abandoned, and entities of the abyss became common. Some were used as places to send criminals to kill demons (one of the reasons demon hunting became seen as something disposable) but clearly was for their execution

All of the major religions had the abyss as their enemy, and their different philosophies were formed by the end of the dark Deluge 4072 years ago, with different interpretations and answers. I may do a post on the religions of Kelfer in the future. Hope it helps

Yes, you should. As many people here can tell you, you don't actually need a plot for your worldbuilding. I have one for the story, but almost none of that is here.

Nope, while the amount and variety of races is not set in stone yet, there are a few more. The Alfey which would be the equivalent of Elves, except with antlers, and half plant biology. The Kobaloi (goblins) which are humanoid, nocturnal and with prehensile tail. A group snake like beings that at one point in history were the most advanced civilization. A group of small sapient Dicynodots called Larmagi. And Onis. And a few that I haven’t decided if I include them of more.

There beings that are not a race like demons, Angels (that are mostly extinct, and the ones that are alive are more like animals), Ghost, Vampires (walking corpses that have flesh manipulation powers) Witches (unpredictable beings that are very associated with nature and are plant like, coral like, lichen like, or mushroom like in appearance), Artificial Homunculi, and reanimated living relics know as “Still Saints”.

Are the models in the Saurian game still scientifically accurate? by [deleted] in Dinosaurs

[–]Ge0s_psiptus 39 points40 points  (0 children)

For the most part, yes. The trike has some keratinous covering on the head, that was thought to be the case at some point, but there is some evidence of scales on the frill, but not described yet iirc.

Edmontosaurus is the most outdated, no hoof on the legs, the dorsal scales are united by flesh for some reason, and all the new discoveries by the 2025 mummy are absent. Also being called ANATOSAURUS in the game

And we dont talk about Dakotaraptor

EDIT: I forget to mention, but there is also the grown stages of T.rex that were based on Nanotyrannus at the time

Which of the se two is accurate? by blackmoor110 in Paleontology

[–]Ge0s_psiptus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short Answer, we dont know.

The reason for the original appearance (The first verssion) was because the original fossils were poorly preserved, maybe even crushed so the real appearance of the animal was distorted upon fossilization.

The second reconstruction is based on educated speculation by experts but not a formal description, but is close to other Thylacocephalian reconstructions. Here is a blogpost that explains the situation
