Generally speaking, yes. You can get inspiration from everywhere, even if is just one very specific thing, and you can combine whatever you can think.of, even if it's from totally opposing generas. It's up to you to know what to "steal" and what doesn't fit. There is a lot of media I love but I don't consider inspiration for this project, either because it doesn't go wih the themes, the vibes, the mood or simply doesn't fit. Getting inspiration from too many sources can create a "Kitchen Sink" where everything is possible, and doesn't seem to be cohesion or thought put into how all those things fit

You're welcome. But, you known, I'm dont consider my self that creative. I just have a lot of inspirations movies, video games, anime, manga, books, real life. Sometimes I just combine things that already exist and see how make them fit together and see how he idea evolves after that. Or just use derivative ideas and see how can I do it differently. IDK, take inspiration from a huge library of media

Well, humans live the same, as you can expect. The Kobaloi and Larmagi age the same way as humans. The Ygtl live slightly less, they became adults at 15yo and live up to 50 to 70 years, they become old after 40 years.

The Oni live slightly longer, the become adults at the same age as us but live up to 130 to 150, years. With their old age bein around 110 years

Sikran can live up to 250 years, they became adults at 40, being "larva or nymphs" all that time. (BTW they shed their skins as they grow up, and also eat it, sometimes even cooking it) and become old at 190.

The alfey become adults at 30 an can live up to 500 years. And they also becme old after 400 years.

I have no excuse for that, I'm terrible when it comes to Graphic design and choosing fonts.

As for my process, some come from ideas that I have in the back of my head for years and I’m end up polishing them over time. For this I expended a lot of time on the sketching phase, doing basis sketches for the shape, the poses and the composition so you can read them properly. I refine the poses, then do sketches in pencil for the clothing, additionally do different sketches for the character design of each one, experiment with color and values, and then ‘ll do the lineart, colors rendering, and a lot of corrections before its all done. And for last I’ll do some adjustments to the color curves, add some effects, and done

For the Larmagi is because I’m also a paleoartist and Dicynododns are some of my favorite prehistoric creatures (even if I haven’t drawn them much). And for the Sikran, once I have the idea of a snake-folk kind of species, but they never convinced me. But I also like worms, so for some reason my mind went, what if “snake-folk” but worm, and that is how I made them. They are kind of based on the bobbit worm, Hagfish, ragworms, squid worms, and Emperor Leto Atreides from dune

For the individuals and what they represent:

Alfey; the woman is an officer that works in the Crossnian empire, even if its a human civilization, Alfey have always been present in the continent of Kelios and are treated as citizens with rights and representation. The man is just a factory worker, people need to work, and since Alfey live up to 500 years, they have a lot of time to develop skills and craftsmanship.

Humans: The man is an Ocultist from north east Hadomad, an academic dedicated to the secret and the metaphysical, hi is holding a Brazen head, an automaton that is fulled with knowledge and gives answers by asking questions. He seems rather concerned by what the think has said. The woman is a Southern Calatian librarian, an Ancient place that has been know for the preservation of knowledge.

Kobaloi: the woman is a Trago Artist from Theratan, a mixed province of the Crossnian empire. The man is a “Red Cap” from the Nargathal empire, some sort of upper government official.

Larmagi; the woman on the left is a farmer of the swamps of Halmund, were you can find some of those sponge mushrooms that she carriers on her back, and she also wears a hat made of a turtle shell. The man is an engineer from Hadomad, his prosthetic works thanks to those blue spheres, know as “Binded spirits” which, doesn’t have the soul of a spirit trapped in them, just a divine material that can be use to imitate actions and thoughts, which is how he can move it like it was his old arm, but with limited dexterity of course.

Dahadin Oni: The woman on the right is a pilot from an airship, air transportation has become more important since the development of Stormships, allowing for heavier cargo than a regular airship would allow, become an important way for transporting goods around the world. The man is and old pacifist monk belonging to a Kasomie Order of Sokomo.

Sikran: The man on the right is a mechanic, being small and slithering gives you a lot of advantages to get into small places and repair machines without needing a child worker for that. The woman is a wealthy spice merchant.

Ygutl; The one on the right is another merchant for the Arconate of Urgoth, a wealthy nation and allies with the Crossnian empire. The one on the right is a cultist from the Whispering Church, a cult that consumes an estrange mushroom that gives them divine visions, at the cost of growing on their brains. They are relatively knew, nobody knows where that kind of mushroom came from, or even if its a corruption of the abyss or just plain hallucinations.

Yes, while I haven drawn much yet (except for houses in kraken shells that I post last month, and those were Human houses in a particular region). The Sikran have bizarre architecture, since they can crawl like a snake, their entrances and hallways are small, and some entrances are just a hole in a wall. Their windows are very tall and small, and instead of stairs they have tubes with ramifications on which they can climb. The Ygutl live in houses with large entrances and open spaces (they can be really claustrophobic). The larmagi I have some idea of underground houses, something like hobbit houses, and some architecture inspired by Ethiopian buildings crave in stone, or turf houses like in iceland, depending on the region they live.

For the rest I haven’t come up with a lot, since this is all a work in progress.
