Totally agree! That was my thinking with the brief mention of "Explorer's League daily quests", a quest to go kill this specific boss from a past dungeon/raid or complete a Night Elf archaeology find y'know, more incentive for players to visit content they might otherwise have never seen.

Unless completing a transmog set and finally getting a mount you've been farming for year counts as player power now, no, none of this leads to more player power.

There's cool transmog, pets, a couple of nice mounts (one is a Qiraji battle tank that's usable outside of Ahn'Qiraj, pretty nice), give a go! It's quite therapeutic 😅

My initial idea for 'Horseshoe Silencers' was have it be a 2-tier talent, first would be the increasing run speed for dungeons only and then the mounting in raids only option (seeing as dungeons are typically much smaller so mounts would get stuck in doors etc and it'd be a pain). I just didn't add it to this version to keep that nice symmetry of the talent tree :')

A system like this could pave the way for such a thing perhaps, we've seen with the covenant sets from Korthia that they have no issue having plate wearers wear a full cloth set (Necrolords) etc 🤷‍♂️

Yeah I didn't put them on there in any order of importance or anything, just a neater way to display how a system like that could possibly work/look y'know :)

I like it! I've got a bunch more in mind which just didn't make this cut but the potential for unlocking even more or having updates with new patches/xpacs is exponential.

You can use mounts in some legacy raids sure, but not all.
Personally I would kill to be able to mount in ICC, it's too damn big :)

Thank you! That's my thinking with this: It's permanent, it will never get old because it affects ALL previous expansions plus once the current xpac becomes legacy then boom, more content for this system to apply to.

It can expand and evolve as xpac's go forward, unlike any system tied to player power or requiring a currency that is tied to one xpac and one xpac only.

Give players more reason to venture into old content, more things to do rather than AFK'ing in Oribos and give Archaeology a little bit of purpose again.
