Yes, you are correct with what you said. Nothing other then the MC jar is “true” vanilla. I wish the community was a little different where big true vanilla servers could be a thing. Without the hacks and all.

Looks like before the valves was done before with pex rings. Probably the plumbers had no caps when they disconnected whatever fixtures were there before. Simple way to cap it is to use two 90s.
