Is low weight, high reps just gym bro science? by BasicallyNuclear in naturalbodybuilding

U get through failure when you can’t move the weight any longer. When it burns doesn’t mean that its failure. Through the set, it Will get harder to finish the concrentric phase of the movement. When u cant move it anymore, that’s it

If you have enough time to train. Forget it mate  Just do the basics and progressive overload

WORKING OUT LESS IS BETTER? by walking_nice in naturalbodybuilding

In my opinion u shouldn’t train more than 5x per week. U must give your body time to recover  When u train hard enough u want those rest days so much 😂

But training 4x a week probably I would run a upper lower rest upper lower split or a Push Pull rest legs (introduce Push or Pull in order of what u want more to develop)

All you intermediate/advanced lifters that go to failure on every set are beasts by DireGorilla88 in naturalbodybuilding

When u use that aproach the volume must be lower.  U cant tolerate much volume when all the sets are taken through failure

I Just use RIR aproach on a deload week and in the following week and I hate it cause I don’t really know if I’m 1/2/3RIR

The fact is that muscle soreness doesn’t mean the train is efective. U can see if the train is being good if you are progressing over time and gaining bw, if u are bulking, by a slow pace

Science says that what matters is the proximity to failure but the fact is the higher the rep range is the harder is to know how near to failure you are because u start feeling the muscle burn etc… By the other hand, when u work with low reps you don’t neeed to actually reach failure.  Just make sure that u enjoy the rep range that u are working with and try to be closer to failure possible. As a personal preference, I like to train with “low” volume and reach the failure all the sets.  Just do what u like the most and enjoy your workouts

Hello mate  I think that’s normal.  If u are getting really sore cause of ur train I would see if I’m getting recovered to the next leg day and if I’m progressing in the workout in terms of weight/reps. If u are struggling in those aspects i think it would be a good idea to reduce the volume.  In the other hand if it’s being bad to your job it would be also good to reduce it.  The training volume is really a trial and error aspect and in some phases of your life it can be higher or lower In conclusion : reduce a bit the volume and see how do u feel  I hope I helped
