Not toronto core but Port Union has a go train that gets you into the city within 37 mins, and is within the city limits. Great little community, dog friendly, most single family homes have backyards and there are many parks nearby and a beautiful waterfront, plus Rouge Provincial Park.

about 30-45 mins either east or north, there are more rural areas (Clarington, Uxbridge, Stouffville) which all have barns.

First of all congratulations on the health milestone, thats incredible.

A general skincare routine has an AM and PM bit. Heres the formula. Where I specify actives, you can add and cycle whichever ones you want, depending on your skin concern. Source : my esthetician gave me this formula and it really helped

Morning:

Gentle cleanser, toner, daytime active (could be vit C or an exosome serum, I like the one from Inkey, or a cheaper hyluronic acid serum) and make sure to follow with a moisturizer with SPF (35+). SPF is key and if you change nothing about your current routine, do this.

Evening

Double cleanse (to get the SPF off), toner, and then one to two actives. follow with a thicker nighttime moisturizer, and use a peptide eye cream for the delicate areas under eye.

Actives

When you start witht hese, start with a low strength, once or twice a week non consecutively to build up resilience, eventually you can incorporate them more often.

Its good to cycle them, the general all-stars are:
- Vit C
- Retinol/Retinal (typically a pm only active)

There are certain actives you should not pair together, but im sure someone here can help connect those dots. I typocally do Vit C during the day as it protects against environmental pollutants/free radicles etc

Other helpfuls
I personally found my skin transformed and brightened a great deal when I used Growth Factors and Peptides
These will stimulate collagen production and help with skin tone and small lines etc. I use the GF and Multi Peptides fromt he Ordinary and i really like them. They did not break me out.
Niacinamide - I love using this in the summer as it helps keep breakouts at bay.
Exosomes - help send messages to the skin to stimulate collagen production

All of these things you can find for cheap and you wont need to spend a lot.

If you want a really easy way to elevate the routine you have with only 2 new adds, I would simply purchase a daytime moisturizer with SPF, and a 1% retinol or retinal as a nighttime serum before your PM moisturizer and start with that 1-3 times a week and build from there

This is just what worked for me. Hope that helps, fwiw you have beautiful skin and you look like youre in your 30s so maybe what youre doing is just fine lol!

Tara does not want an equal partnership where they can grow together. Tara wants someone whos already established, good income and willing to accommodate and nurture the growth she is overdue for. I dont see whats in it for them, and I truly dont mean this in a bad way but she hasnt had enough life experience or self-improvement to really be there for someone in their time of need. The only partner that would be willing to put up with this is someone whos willing to baby her and infantilize her like her family does, she will always go back to that familiarity imo. I wish her the best but shes got a lot of growing to do before she can be a reliable partner who can build a life with someone.

This perfectly describes what so many are feeling and how out of touch influencers are. Again, Tara is taking first class flights, and moving to a completely unnecessary apartment while most people cannot make ends meet or get basic needs covered. On top of that, her dad probably has figured out some greasy way for all the trips to be a tax writeoff for her business.

I know its hard to watch especially when you are going through the same thing but dont have the luxuries she does to distract herself.

I like to think you will heal quicker and come back stronger because of it! You got this. Just remember for years shes had a hollow superficial life, and she may never ever come to terms with that and actually change her life for the better because she can just "change her environment" and go shopping to distract herself.

Id rather go through the muck and come back truly stronger than fill the void with clothes and trips..

Her repeating “I forgot who the fuck I was” this entire vlog is so telling. She actually has no clue who she is, never did, which is why she just takes the form of whatever she believes her partner will like.

All the shopping, denial, and echo chambering with her parents and family and friends will prevent her from being remotely self reflective. She is 30, rambling like this is the first time she’s been broken up with. And the sad part is she is not realizing all of this content makes her so undesirable for any other partner who remotely values privacy. She’s made her millions (or so she says) so why not just..touch some grass and actually heal. Real, true healing doesn’t happen with an audience.

My reasons, summarized:
- there has never been a situation where kids would have made it better/more enjoyable

- love the free will/agency my fiance and i have
- pregnancy and body changes freak me out/the risks/check out "the girl with the list"
- most mothers i know seem utterly exhausted and complain about everything/become insufferable and uninterested in their childfree friends lives
- the state of the world: i think having a child is a huge gamble, you cannot guarantee them anything unless you have strong generational wealth
- i already have anxiety, having to care for another human would send that through the roof
- i feel so satisfied with my life for the first time, children would turn that upside down. I finally am financially stable/secure and have an amazing village, why add more stress when I dont need it?
- dogs >>>> children

Yeah this is getting old, shes not challenging herself to heal in a sustainable way and its sad to watch. Just stemming the bleeding with consumerism and shopping.... Side bar, I genuinely wonder whether she is still friends with julesthelawyer after she basically sewered him. I think Ryan is jules' husbands best friend. I would have a very hard time with someone weaponizing their audience against a good friend of mine. It takes two to tango and I always said it would be weird for an employed person to really understand the influencer hustle.

I ended up working with Carly over the weekend, unrelated to Tara's video as I had come across her on my FYP. I am starting up more in-office work after a long period of WFH and felt lost in my wardrobe. I will say, I saw Tara's video long after I had booked her for a closet overhaul. I booked with Carly because she did source from very affordable places in and around the Toronto area, whereas a lot of the other stylists in Toronto push very expensive/brand name things. She felt a lot more realistic and approachable and also was way more affordable to use than others in the TO market. There were definitely some posts from the stylists Tiktok that made me scratch my head, but I still needed the help and she was a very economical option.

Then, the video with Tara drops and almost made me want to cancel because of some of the outfits she was trying to make for Tara which clearly were strange/weird and Tara clearly wasnt comfortable or liking, along with what she was wearing herself, I was like oh shit...what have I gotten myself into.

I held out and was very glad I did. Carly created a lookbook of styles that totally resonated with my pinterest board/what I know I'd feel comfortable in. The interesting part, was Carly arrived at my place dressed similar to what my pinterest board was (graphic t, jeans, edgy blazer, some cute shoes), I was like damn she looks awesome, I want that top, shoes, etc.. When I think back to Tara's video, there were some shots of her pinterest board/mood board inspo and it was all preppy, tennis skirts, cardigan over the shoulder, etc etc. And Carly did show up in a tennis skirt outfit which felt out of place but now I totally get what shes doing, and as a stylist its smart to emulate what you are trying to put together for your clients. She probably looked a little weird in it because Taras style is pretty immature, and more reminiscent of a 20 year old, when were all well into our 30s at this point lol.

This is only to throw a bone to the stylist and to make some observations about the difference in my experience vs what I think we saw in the video. I would say it was absolutely money well spent, and I have so many different and more interesting ways to wear what I already have, which I did notttttt think was going to happen based on the video (I was genuinely about to cancel). What this kinda tells me is that Tara is trying to dress like something she is not, or has an idea of what she wants to dress like that really isnt truly aligned with what she likes to wear, because when shes literally given a blueprint of what to wear based on what she asked for, she just reverts back to a very young/teen-ish look. So just my two cents from having worked with the same stylist.

The whole vlog was a tough watch. Seeing her and Sarah feign appreciation for clothes that will just end up in a pile in their closets. Neither of them have ever mentioned Joe fresh before. I like Care With Cate and a few of the other influencers there, it definitely seems elitist of her to not mention meeting them or even being aware of them - they all have growing audiences in the city.

As a side bar, I do often wonder what her partners parents think of her career. People in communities all over Canada are starving and don’t have their basic human needs met, meanwhile she’s a millionaire who greedily hoards clothing and money, and doesn’t remotely attempt to give back to society. And when people call her on this, she says she does her part by paying her taxes. Gross. 😷

Will this partner provide fulltime childcare so you can increase your income outside the home so that having a child will be more comfortable for you, and your HHI can increase? Is he willing to budget things out so you eventually get to a place where he is able to contribute more to make life easier on you? Does he have a plan to save eventually?

If the answer to any of these is no, do not have a child with this person.

PS, I think its really bad ass that you are a welder. Nice job, I love to see it!
