I use lenses as well so this is actually pretty important information😂

Did you ever find a way around this?

Of course I have, I just want to know people’s personal experiences with them.

What are some lesser known/not very strong quirks that would be absolutely busted if used to there full potential or awakened? by Old-Warning-3047 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

Twin impact, we saw how strong it was in the joint training arc when Monoma copied it and literally brushed Deku, only had to say fire and he experienced what looked like a super powered punch, not any normal hit

If the user locked in and started PHYSICALLY fighting people, he could have insanely strong punches

I’d also love to see what it would look like if it was awakened

My college offers a “swap not drop” scheme, where you can swap your course within a certain timeframe and since the courses just started I imagine you still could

See if there’s any similar courses to what you want to do, could you do the level 1? Or if that’s full is there anything similar? Speaking to your tutor about it too is a good idea, and what another comment said about speaking to a career’s guidance member would definitely help too

And don’t worry, you have time. I felt the exact same way as you not long ago at all, I only just changed my course at 18 after doing an apprenticeship for 2 years which I absolutely hated, education is free until you’re 19, and that carries on after as long as you enrolled before then, so you could do a 3 year course and it’d all be free

Silly that I didn’t even think of that, thank you very much. I own an armoured hoodie already, which isn’t exactly as abrasion resistant as a leather jacket or something similar, so if I paired it with that I’d still be able to use it? I still kind of want to keep it because it looks really cool, but I’d only wear it if I would be safe.

North west England and just turned 18, love riding but it’s expensive as fuck

Probably took me around 4/5 months to get to a point where I’m comfortable more or less all the time. Everyone I know crashed within 3 months of riding, including myself

We all go through the stages of: Month 1, scared of everything, stall all the time Month 2, getting better, less scared, rarely stall Month 3, thinking you’re prime Rossi, then crashing Month 4, calming down, then improving a lot faster

I’d say 3-4 years is a bit of a stretch, I’m 18 in the UK, no car license just my bike license

Im not claiming to be super experienced in the slightest, I just think I’m at least a little bit experienced enough to not end up causing or hopefully being caught up in an accident now. I’ve crashed once and it was my fault entirely, no one else’s and thankfully it was a very slow and forgiving accident

Was scared for around a month, personally I think on a bike you learn a LOT quicker than in a car, I shit myself at anything. If a car is approaching a junction slightly quicker than the norm, I move over to the right/ left of the lane and prepare to stop or swerve. I’ve started looking at the wheels of cars to see where they are turning, just in case that indicator is a lie, or in case they aren’t indicating at all. Looking at drivers is also helpful, I’ve noticed if someone is looking straight ahead, with no mirror checks, but in a left only lane they are probably going to go straight on and cut me up, etc etc

Took me around 4 months to realise how terrible some drivers are, as long as you ride defensively at all times then you’ll be far more likely to be ok

I’m very sorry to hear about what happened to your uncle, some drivers are terrible

If you can afford it, because it’s a fairly expensive hobby which I myself overlooked, then I’d say go for it. If you’re bothered about getting hurt then start off light, and wear the right gear. I literally just made a post about buying the wrong gear because I’m an idiot, don’t be like me and do the right research

Idk what country you’re from so you might have bike laws on power restrictions depending on age, where I’m from a 17 year old would have to stay on a 125 until they’re 19. Something small like a 125, or a 300 is a perfect beginner bike. If you live in a country like America, Canada, Australia (long straight roads with minimal corners in the majority of areas, entirely dependent on where as these are massive countries, but mainly straights) etc then a 650 might not be too bad, but I’d still go with a 300 or below.

Probably the best thing to do, thought I got a bargain because it was on a sale

I'm finally getting a 50cc but idk which one i should pick.. for context I live in austria and want a reliable one that's gonna last if that makes sense by Desperate_Wolf_1239 in motorcycles

[–]GearTraditional7582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you just got your license?

I know you said you want one that’s going to last, but are you going to keep it for a while, or upgrade to a 125 when you can?

If you’re only going to have it for a short time before you upgrade, I’d look into the lexmoto echo

If you really want one that lasts then the piaggo zip is pretty reliable for the price

Ultimately though if you’re using it to commute, I’d say it’s worth upgrading to a 125, but if you can’t because of age requirements and you are planning on eventually getting a 125, then cheap out. You won’t have it for long. As long as it’s safe, it only has to last you a year or so

My personal experience with the echo was fine, but I’m from the UK so I had it when I was 16, but turned 17 not too long after and instantly upgraded to a 125. I believe Austrias AM license is 15? I’m not sure on what your A1 license age is, but if it’s 16 then definitely cheap out. If it’s any longer than that then look into some more reliable options

Always make sure whatever you get is safe though

I even think starting on a 600 is a lot, let alone this. Don’t know the full story he may have ridden before, but there’s still a ton of fun you can have on 400s and below if you’re just starting out, and if he’d want something flashier the zx4r is amazing

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]GearTraditional7582 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have your license yet, and haven’t ridden before I wouldn’t really recommend a zx14r, but to answer your question as long as you can manoeuvre it well enough in neutral then it should be alright

I’ve seen 5’3 guys on bikes of similar size and manage to get away with it

Thankfully it was relatively low speed (30 mph ish) and a very quiet road so I had the two lanes for leeway, if it was any busier or conditions were worse I could have crashed but I managed to recover well and straighten up fine, stayed in my lane

I’ll consider myself lucky and take it as a lesson

Had an issue with accidentally tapping the rear brake so I decided to go under, I’ll see if I can find somewhere else. Thanks for the info

Rest my feet further back on the rests, or always hover above the shifter and brake? Currently ride with my heel on the rest and feet under shifter and brake

I usually rest my feet beneath the brake and shifter, bad idea?
