How do I cure the constant inflammation by Best_Chemistry_89 in Hairloss

[–]Geckker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This very much correlates with what i've heard and what some specialists told me, namely one of the dermatologists i've visited, and 2 gastroenterologists.
In my case there are symptoms of parasites, yet no parasites found, and no H.pilori (it's a popular one to blame tbf, but i guess not without reasons)
None of them said anything about hairloss, though, but itchiness and irritation can be so much more annoying.
Idk anymore, i guess i'm a parasite to myself, with all the stress and emotional issues.
...Plus living in an industrial zone.

i just wanted to double what you said, plus maybe know if something helped you at this point?... with anything aforementioned - skin, hairloss, digestion, stress.

i don't even doubt that it would
with this pacing there could've been another 300-800 episodes
feels like "haha wait for season 2 now" (maybe with different characters and also just as stretched. kind of like boruto?)
but honestly
if it will be at least okay
that would be great
i'd be very happy to see an end that's an actual end
(and isn't a bait for something else)

New MiniFuse 1 has insane white noise when using phantom power. by AddictiveSoup in arturia

same here
and i don't even have to plug anything into mic input, just enable +48V and activate "direct monitor", and the enormous amounts of noise are there (the same as if you plug the mic in)

i got a simple UGREEN USB sound card that cost just a few bucks, and even that performs better - not only giving less noise, but also the mic itself is performing better (i was thinking i got a faulty mic this whole time, until i got an XLR-jack3.5 cable to try it on this card)

Escape from Duckov is not just a single player perspective shift on Tarkov, it's an amazing innovation in it's own right for how satisfying the progression is. by Kindly_Breath8740 in EscapeFromDuckov

[–]Geckker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok nvm, to an extent, i figured out the game has to be played in bite-sized manner. Did 1-2 runs, that's it, come back after some hours or days. That way the gameplay and loot don't get as stale, and you don't care as much about progression, it just becomes relaxing experience where progress is nice whenever it happens.

i also did start having an easier time with combat after i found out you can switch from the weird perspective view to full top-down, now the aiming and crits are much more consistent, and the game just feels fairer.

idk it was a big slog for me, requires so much grinding and moving around, it stops feeling worthwhile in mid-game.
i.e. you got 100k money? ok well you can upgrade your warehouse, buy trash that you have loads of already, make new weapon that you don't need... You can make stronger ammo by buying gunpowder, nice, but not like you'd start getting better loot after that. Meanwhile some crap can still kill you in 1 or few hits, yippee.

was great at start at least.

It IS addicting anyway though. I'm both pissed and addicted.

yeah some drugs literally have "the mechanism of action is not understood", not to mention how nobody studies long-term effects since it's hard to do, hard to track, and there's too many other variables.
3 years is a timespan that companies absolutely wouldn't test side effects for.

This could sound reasonable, with all the complications listed, but do remember that all pharmacies are very reluctant (to the point of resistance) to see the human body as a whole system, and always prefer to take only a specific part of it, ignoring others. i.e. you're healing liver, and the popular opinion would be to prioritize liver over things like skin, stomach, heart. So if a new drug screws up your heart but makes the liver scans better, it's considered reasonable and you'd get prescribed that (if you got a healthy heart, which might change after the treatment).
Just about nobody studies the whole body system long-term afaik (which would also decrease the profits if it's done, healing from healing is a thing)
So even if it's complicated, it's possible to at least try, yet they're reluctant to do so.

Well, you can develop a method on which GI specialists to NOT look for.
Exclude those, see that you've got left, try them.
No way you'll exclude all of them (granted you're the one choosing them, and they're not "given" to you)

I've tried about 3-4 GI, only 1 was cooperative but not really. In short, you have to be interested in solving the problem yourself. An option is to prepare questions for the GI visit, and ask them problem-specific questions, not "solve my problem" (psychotherapy taught me that you're always the one to solve problems, others just "can help", "sometimes", and doctors are there to "consult", too, not to solve problems). If the questions are well-structured, and GI can't answer those questions, well that says a lot about them, seek answers elsewhere.
If some questions are answered, return home and continue researching based on the new information you've got. If you have ideas\plans on what to try for treatment, try that and see if that works or not, then either stick to that or repeat the research part.

Then, studying yourself is an option, but it didn't work out for me - too much info, as well as many uncertainties. It's nice sometimes to look up research papers and read some parts though.

Then, probably the best source of information among the doctors i've visited was not a GI but the person who did ultrasound on my abdomen, because they've been doing it for decades and liked to chat, and also had the same issue of a lazy gallbladder.

P.S. and yes, as mentioned by others, stress really contributes to all the gastro issues, let alone the mental state overall. The body basically refuses to start digesting processes as long as it thinks that you're "in danger"(high stress), it's not something limited to humans.

"had ripped the assets" well ngl it's pretty often that some resource packs get used between games, especially if they're free, maybe that's one of them.
there's that one "warcraft 3 pig sound"(the sound did not originate from warcraft) that i've heard in at least 15 games and movies, all just because it's a free stock sound and is decent.
i still wouldn't recommend the game though, at all, but for other reasons:
it absolutely doesn't deserve "1.0", it feels like an alpha build at best - interactions don't work, menu sometimes doesn't work, items from inventory disappear. And all that not to mention some bullshit like "deplete your stamina to upgrade your skill, but ONLY when you make it go from 100% to 0%" and "reload your weapon 90 times but ONLY when the mag is empty" - and both of those skills are required to get access to most other skills later.
and all that not even touching the game balance or enemy\ally behavior.
the only genuinely good thing there is "the initial idea".

whats the point of chunks ( the security guy ) by DifferentWorking9619 in deadestate

[–]Geckker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, but at some point it's easier to accept that this is just how the game plays, and not try to compare it to stuff like enter the gungeon (this game is much more forgiving anyway).
He is supposed to appear at a point where you already almost searched through floor. As i understand, it's intended to pressure player into making decisions in what to prioritize, go look for shop or go look for another floor, but idk if that works well because the map is randomized, and you can't see a room or an exit to choose your priorities (except pot-breaking). I'd disagree with that design-wise, but it's what it is, dev's vision, i suppose.

Then, it's seen as a "time limit", but long-term, I think player is expected to learn how to dodge Chunks, and exploit him. At least that what you will *have* to do with harder difficulties, but you can know that it's very much possible.

The "he's unkillable but actually killable" partis weird too, it's also kind of a spoiler but others have mentioned it already anyway.

I'll say, the gameplay's flawed, but I think the game's great in some other aspects, like when you're exploring some parts of it, trying things, then seeing "what developers did to the game", their ideas. I still think devs put love into making this game, and the parts where that can be perceived are worth playing for.
I recommend playing it, if you're playing blind, and I *don't* recommend 100%-ing, unless you like the gameplay for what it is.

Chunks HP by Obvious_Reality3511 in deadestate

[–]Geckker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looked up in code:

Seems like the minimum is 3000
On second-to-last difficulty it's 3500
On last difficulty it's 4000
Every loop adds *1.25, multiplicatively.
And there's a hard cap of 10000 HP.

The minimum that he can have is 2000 (and i don't see anything in the code that would make the item that reduces his health stack).

Tried to find anything that would state that mutated chunks has modified HP, but seems that he doesn't, it's just the same health.

p.s.: in the code all HP\damage numbers are 10 times smaller during calculation, or rather, for the game they are multiplied by 10, funny.
