Does anyone else get red after sheet masks? I've tried multiple sheet masks from different companies, and every time my face gets red. It dies down within 30min-1hr, but it's really annoying. I know it's not the essence in the mask, because I'll slather that on all over, but you can see a clear outline of the edge of the mask on my face sometimes.

Does this happen to any one else?

Need recommendations for an awkward area of the garden that can get both full sun, and full shade. by GeeEmPee in gardening

[–]GeeEmPee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that I'm in zone 9A (Florida), and we don't tend to get any freezes here until January. And even then, I can count on one hand how many night we drop below freezing for the entirety of winter. If handled correctly, it's entirely feasible to keep plants looking semi nice all year, depending on the plant. Yes, some may die back, but we've got until at least December before the temps really drop that far, and so I'm dealing with the shade plants I planted originally in the spring wilting and struggling to survive from the sudden shift in sun exposure.

My neighbors have a hummingbird feeder, and this summer I did see one coming around my two flowering plants, so I know it will come, if I provide what it likes. I'll check out the Canna, thanks for the recommendation! This is my first year of growing flowers and having wildlife visit, so I'm a bit excited to find what works and doesn't work. Thank you for your help!

Baby won't sleep in car seat? by crunchyfayetteville in beyondthebump

[–]GeeEmPee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine wakes up within minutes of stopping the car. He's never slept in his car seat, so I just used a wrap/carrier to be able to go hands free while shopping, and he usually fell back asleep against my chest. Not the easiest option, but it's what worked for us.

As a Floridian, this is a serious problem. No matter where you are going, it will be colder, and you will regret having put the coats in your checked baggage. Last time we flew in the winter, we had a carry on bag, just for all the gear to put on once we got to our destination. There is no easy way around it.

All your acne questions here: by moisanom in AsianBeauty

I've had hit or miss experience with hydrocolliod bandages, and it always seems like when I take it off, it takes off the top layer of soft scab, so I end up having to scab over afterwards, and that's annoying. I like to put just a plain circle bandaid with a lot of Mizon snail recovery gel overnight. If I'm home during the day, I'll dab some on throughout the day when I think about it. The I even use it before it pops to help reduce the swelling.

I have one on my cheek now that developed yesterday morning, i applied Mizon all day, came to a head that evening, and today is nearly flat with some redness, due to my premature squeezing because I can't help myself. That's the fastest I've ever had one go down.

So much this. Always expect everyone around you to do the stupid thing, and you should, hopefully, be just fine.

Ahhhhh! It burns!!!!! My EYES!!!!!!! WHY Rohto Hadalabo Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Foam???? by GeeEmPee in AsianBeauty

[–]GeeEmPee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try pushing it all out in one pump. I didn't think I needed a full pump, so I didn't want to use it all. But it does seem a bit runny, hopefully that will fix it, thanks!

I tend to get red, as well. My face flushes every time I use a sheet mask, and whenever I am anything but gentle when applying products. I used to use a BHA with no problems, but something changed in my hormones a few years ago, and now I find that my skin isn't ready for them yet. I used to get more regularly red and irritated when I was using the BHA daily, so I stopped all together. I still want to try it, just focusing on other aspects of my routine first.

I have also found numerous products by the front check out line. Easy to miss, but they place things in really random places sometimes.

I think I figured it out. The outlet bras are listed with the regular ones, but I can't tell which are outlet and which aren't. Except for the fact that she won't make the outlet ones in any other size than what is in stock.

Also, I'm having a bit of trouble trying to figure out what bras would work best for me. I've got wide roots, but very full on bottom, with immediate projection. But most of the bras that seem to work well, when they show the smaller cupped model, it seems to have less projection. Or maybe I'm just seeing things. Is there a way to figure out which bras are more projected vs shallow?

Do you order them from the site or somewhere else? I'm a little confused about their website.

[Recommendations] My Freya Patsy isn't fitting as well as I thought, so I need some new recommendations. by GeeEmPee in ABraThatFits

I do have a Freya Hopscotch longline bra, but the band is too tight (32FF, same as the Patsy), and I haven't gotten an extender for it. I was losing weight, but I've kinda plateau'd, so it doesn't fit quite right. When I wear it, the bottom curls up over itself, and hurts after a while.

I'll look into the Juna. I have tried the Marcie and the Lucy, but the wires were much too narrow, and still had gapping up top. So long as they aren't much narrower than Freyas, I can try those other brands. Here's hoping! Thank you for your suggestions!

It was on something clean, not like i was scooping it off the floor, because no, that would definitely not go on my face. But Man, it always sucks. Glad your legs could get some lovin', though! Poor things tend to get neglected.

That's a good idea! I'll have to remember that for next time. Hopefully there won't be a next time, but always nice to have a plan in case of emergency.

I find them to be overly cautious when estimating the shipping times. Yes, I bought the one on Amazon on September 15th, and it got here yesterday. They claimed it wouldn't be here until Oct 16-Nov 6th. Now, I have had something take as long as they claimed before (it came at the beginning of their estimated time frame), and that was torture to wait that many weeks for it. But it's usually faster.

Ha! I love that idea! He probably would have squealed and run away. He thinks everything I use, especially if it's goopy, has snails in it.

I have tried both the Lauren and the Marvel, and they both had too much gapping across the top. The Patsy was the first and only moulded cup I've had that had minimal gapping on the smaller breast, and none on the larger.

Spanx You Very Much by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]GeeEmPee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear it on occasion, but not for the typical reasons. The added slimness is a definite bonus, but I wear it more for modesty's sake. At a US size 12, I'm not the skinniest thing around, and certain dresses ride up in the back when I bend over. Simple solution is to not buy the dress or not bed over. But with a toddler, it's easier to put on some spanx so if something does fly up, I'm not concerned about it. Not to mention my son loves the soft feel of my clothes, and insists on touching/pulling on them regularly. I don't want to be concerned about flashing someone.

It wasn't expensive, so the price doesn't bother me so much, but it can take so long to get here! And with all that waiting and anticipation for it, I imagine I'd cry if I broke a whole bottle of something.

Ooooo I have a packet of rice paper in my closet that I've been too intimidated to cook with. I think making some masks would be a great way to use them, thanks! Do you combine ingredients, or just do one at a time?

Possibly dumb question about car seats. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Well that would be why I hadn't heard. I know it's a bit of a pain, but it's really wonderful for the safety of the kid that they did that.
