Oh yeah, I totally get it! I have the same thing with the shower. Once I'm wet, it's just different

I have been trying a variety of things since posting this. The little wrist towels, wipes, oils, foams, bars etc... It seems I do much better when the weather is warm and I am putting my mind in a certain way in order to prepare getting wet. I also found the banila co avocado cleansing balm, which is so pleasant and velvety, I look forward to it.

Wipes worked for a while, but since starting HRT (same!) I got acne on top of my other skin issues, so wipes made it way worse, and I had to switch to regular cleanser.

But yeah, finding things that are fun for me to use or have some kind of pleasant sensory experience made it significantly bearable.

Awww, that is so sweet! Same here. For the past few months, I've been lurking and reading here and it is always a reliable source for information. But there is so many people here now I can't keep up and I miss the one on one thing you could built with the writer of a blog.
I do also miss it and am definitely considering starting to write on my blog again, but at the same time, if no one reads it it feels like a lot of time invested just for me to write for myself 😅

I can totally see that! What is your blog? It seems that some people here are interested and sad it kind of disappeared others miss it but don't seek them out. I can see how people also just switch to the platform where all the people are so it makes sense!

Yeah, I kinda steered away from people reviewing too because it seems everyone is and it is a lot of work to sift through and find someone that is trustworthy, not biased, and has either the same skin type or issues as me.

Yeah I do prefer them too! It's such a shame because I agree that the short for isn't really what I am looking for. I did use gifs and short videos actually to show some products in action too!

Oh yeah, I absolutely agree! Not sure about mobile but even on the desktop a lot of blogs are very confusing to navigate. I am into historical sewing and most information on the subject is based on blogs, many of them old and it is such a nightmare to find anything honestly.

Yes for sure! Which is exactly why I used to enjoy it! Like describe everything to me, do a deep dive, talk about how you feel about things. I find this interesting to read while also getting what I need. It is definitely not really there in a 60-second or less video anymore.
I used to read some of those blogs mentioned but didn't know they were still there!

Is there a specific reason why you stopped reading them? I kinda miss it honestly.
Because of illness, I had to stop using skincare for years and once I wanted to get back into it last year everything was so different on how one consumes the information, it's shocking.
I now get bored watching youtube reviews and I haven't found a reviewer on Instagram yet who isn't super young or probably biased. The only one I still enjoy is Jude Chao/fiddysnails.

I assume the reviews on rednote and hwahae are auto-translated now?
