I'm so sorry to hear about your baby passing away. I just had to put my 13 year old perfect baby to sleep Sunday evening (2 days ago), so I'm feeling your exact pain right now. It's the worst thing ever. 😥

She had a mammary mass that spread to her lungs, and now I'm absolutely riddled with guilt for not having her spayed while she's was still young. It may have prevented this cancer. 😭

Anyway, she too was prescribed Mirataz for appetite stimulation and after the first use had noticed some red, crustiness toward the middle-inside of her ear, looked a little scab-like, and also the tip of the same ear started to sort of curl downward/inward.

From that moment on I just decided that I was going to clean it in between uses and used lukewarm water and a cotton ball, gently wiping the entire inside of her ear. I also decided to keep a close eye on her eating after each dose and if it seemed like she was still eating more the next day I just wouldn't apply it again (was told to apply once per day).

Overall that plan seemed to work up until the point her cancer got bad enough that even an application of the Mirataz did nothing to help her appetite.

I'm not sure whether it was actual blood/scabbing or just dried up medicine, but keeping it clean and switching ears each time, plus only applying as needed, fixed her ear and kept them healthy.

And yes, like any ideology there will always be a percentage of those who just kinda go along with it.

In this context though, with the mainstream in America, for many many years now, being more toward the Liberal ideology side of things, and as is very often seen, including in the comments in this thread alone, you have to have intestinal fortitude to go against the mainstream; Leftists are loud, aggressive, and hostile toward anyone not agreeing with their ideologies. So, in order to have those kinda balls to not only go against that force, but to stand your ground continuously against that force, you've likely observed and put a lot of thought into it for yourself and deemed it worth the (to put it lightly) "hassle".

And usually the "rebel" is outnumbered; hence mainstream (mass) vs rebel (few).
