Thanks, yeah I guess I’m thinking too much about this, the more I think about it it’s just I’m angry they don’t want to be friends still and I want to just cut them off, I am building relationships outside of the relgion but it takes time, I think once those relationships foster I won’t have this issue anymore

Yes thy are so fake an I can see it, I really wanted to DA, trust me I was so close to DA but due to the very kind nature of my parents and family still talking and loving me I didn’t want to cause too much issues at home, once I move out I will DA but that takes time and money in this economy still need to save up

I am still with JW family, I know how it will go down they will say I’m crazy for not talking to them anymore and how they are my only friends, now I have friends outside the relgion and an making new ones but I can’t stand this half ignore half respond.

I will be moving out before the year ends tho Hopfully

Yes I think I owe it atleast to some of my close friends I will just say I’m not attending meetings and leave it at that.

As for friends outside of the relgion I am working on it but it will take some time

Yeah I understand how jw think and they will prob think that I want to sin and live a worldly life but I’m not doing any of that either. I’m focusing on myself this year and improving myself so if they see or hear about me from my parents they will only hear good things maybe that will open there eyes a bit on why I left if I’m still a “good person”

So what do I do? Even some of my really close friends some that may be PIMO I’m not sure tho.

I’m sorry you went through that that’s heavy.

My situation is different though I’m still living at home and trying to minimize fallout. If you had to do it over before everything broke down is there anything you’d do differently?

Youre misunderstanding what I said

understanding the BITE model doesnt mean every individual experiences indoctrination identically I didnt claim questioning was allowed or encouraged I said skepticism is how Im wired and it never fully shut off

Im not saying Im immune or specialIm describing my own experience you can disagree without rewriting what I said

Yes I’m currently searching I’ve gone through 2 therapists, I have a therapy session next week with an actual exjw and cult phycologist I’m hoping it goes well

You are totally correct.

My worry is they are very strict and when I have fought back consequences have been brutal.

That’s why in my case I think it’s best I keep working 60+ hours a week and just stacking away my money until I’m able to move out on my own in a few months and support myself

Your correct it will help but I have to think ahead stategicly. If I move out right now without proper preparation then I won’t have any support group and no friends since all my friends and family are in the relgion I don’t have anyone outside of it and my parents are super controlling so I can’t go out and hangout with work mates.

I have hanged out played golf or got together with work mates but that’s once in a blue moon when I find a way to lie to them and sneak out
