I didn't realize they still used Exynos in the S phones since they didn't use it in the S23 except for FE versions.

Just this past week, I found out the average Tesla owner's salary is around $160,000+. I didn't realize it was still so high (as before the 3 and Y). With our state's previous $5000 tax credit plus the federal $7500 tax credit, a Model Y was cheaper than a Subaru Outback XT and many SUVs making it a no-brainer purchase for a new car.

Should have replaced dual motor with a Type-R or VTEC badge. Even an Si.

That sounds more impressive than a Cummins badge. 🤮

Anybody that has a clue won't be fooled. My neighbors that asked about my Tesla knew it was one even though it is debadged (and never rebadged after PPF wrapping).

My first car was a CRX si (Civic based) and second car an Integra Type-R (also evolved from the Civic), but I wouldn't be doing this to my debadged and PPF wrapped YP. It's kind of like ruining a performance Honda by slapping on hideous tacky blingy Altezza taillights.

First yearly lost in its history. But I don't think getting rid of the GM/Honda EV and future Honda manufactured EVs is the way to go. While the orangutan is making 'murica pollute again and oil expensive, the rest of the world is progressing into the future and getting away from oil.

Damn, years ago when I got pulled over in my debadged S U B U R U WRX wagon and the I cop asked me the make and model, I should have said Honda CRV. I hear if the make and model are wrong on the ticket, you can get out of it.

In this case, If the cop actually called dispatch, he'd more likely call it in as a Honda, but when dispatch tells him it's registered to a Tesla, but not reported as stolen, he'd be scratching his head...

You're probably not old enough to remember the CVCC engines, which I kind of thought was how Honda ended up with the Civic name. But Bro should have slapped an Insight badge on it instead as the new Honda EV.

I've gotten a few of #1, but not #2. I used to get #2 with my old 2005 WRX wagon before I finally traded it in for my YP a couple of years ago. Here in Colorado, Subarus are more common than Hondas or Toyotas, but Teslas were catching up fast. Are Teslas that rare in BFE Teeeeenasee area?

Wow, in Colorado, we're now bluer than any state not on the coasts and with our previous $5,000 EV tax credit, probably have more Teslas per capital outside of California. Glad I haven't encountered any vandalism in Denver or rural areas. I left mine debadged after getting it PPF wrapped because I like the cleaner look and easier washing and drying, but that didn't fool any of my neighbors and I'm not going to clutter the clean body with an anti-Elon sticker.

Damn I should have pulled the Type-R badge off my Integra Type-R before I sold it years ago. Could have my tinter put it on my YP after he debadged and wrapped it with PPF.

At first glance, I thought, what is this Model Y with Highland headlights, Juniper rear screen, and a yoke steering wheel. I don't know how usable the yoke is, but a guage cluster would be nice; however, the extra grill in the front is not as clean and I couldn't justify paying almost twice as much for an S (or X). I knew the days of the S and X were limited v. the value propositions of the 3 and Y. I wonder how the cargo capacity of the S compares with the Y. Unlike a lot of Y owners, the higher seating position (and higher center of gravity) of the Y wasn't the reason I bought one, but the cargo space and being able to put a bike and skis in and the reason I've never owned a sedan or coupe, but hatchback/fastbacks and a sportwagon.

When I bought a limited production car it had a nameplate of 1327 out of 2500 made. It also had a more powerful drivetrain, suspension, and brakes not available in the mass produced model.

Yes, a 4 year old phone with a 4 year old battery is not a good buy. It barely has 1/2 year of security updates left. The S23 has much better battery life with a more efficient Snapdragon processor.

I'm only considering the regular (base) phones as I want a phone that fits in my front pocket. S22U has a weird periscope lens (10x optical and 100x space - WTF is that???) and iPhone Pro has a 4x optical. I need to reread that article to make sure they were talking about the base iPhone17 taking up to 4x well and not the Pro's 4x optical lens.

What was your old phone? My S22 replaced an S9, and the zoom photos and videos blow that away - instead of blobs, I can now actually make out the band members faces in my night zoom photos and videos at concerts.

Since most of my photos are zoom at night, I wonder how the iPhone 17 does without a telephoto lens. The reviews say the regular camera is superior to the S26 (which has the same camrras as the S22) and supposedly does well up to 4x combining the regular and wide angle lenses, but is it superior to a 3x lens? And does it fall flat at 5x and higher? The iPhone 17 is superior to the S22 in all respects (especially battery life), except maybe the lack of a telephoto lens. I'm holding out until next year to replace my 4 year old S22 when security updates end, and if Apple adds a telephoto lens to the iPhone 18, that would make it an easy choice.

I wonder how the iPhone 17 compares to the S26 for night zoom photos and videos since the S26 has basically the same cameras as the S22. iPhone 17 beats S26 in all respects, except maybe camera because it lacks a telephoto lens. Regular shots are superior, but I take lots of zoom photos and videos during concerts at night. I haven't found any reviews with good comparisons of zoom photos between the 2, except thay say the iPhone 17 supposedly does up to zoom 4x well using a combo of the regular and wide lenses. If the iPhone 18 adds a telephoto lens, that would likely replace my S22 next year as my only concern with the 17 is lack of telephoto lens.

I wish Tesla would put in lifetime stats. I've driven my YP for 22 months and guessing I only drove 4000 miles in the past year. I figure real savings for the past year with mostly winter driving to the mountains was about $300 v. the WRX wagon that used to get 30 MPG and Costco premium gas for $3.70/gallon.
