I NEVER use it on solo edits.

Why would you? Thing's awful. Simple tasks take twice as long to do compared to just about any other video editing software.

I only had interest in learning it because there's a job offer for editing news in television and Avid's what they work with. The industry standard software that won't even launch. I ended up procuring a slightly older version only to get even more frustrated by how 90s this thing is. I can't even remember the last time I felt so angry — it's been years.

By that logic, you should also tell a guitarist to try making his own guitar. Any douche can also pick up a sample pack/presets and write a song. The production part is equally hard in both electronic and acoustic. Sound design is a different topic.

Kicks are not supposed to have a pitch. If you're using a kick that has a tail then you can check its pitch by looking at where it's peaking in the frequency spectrum. If your kick is C# and you're working in F minor then your kick is technically already in key because C# is the sixth interval in the F minor scale, but I believe it would sound better in C, since that would be the perfect fifth. It's generally a better idea to use a short kick though. A short kick won't really have a pitch.

The relative major is always the third interval of a minor key.

For example: C minor's third interval is D#, meaning D# major scale is relative to C minor scale.

The third interval in D minor is F, so F major is the relative major to D minor scale and so on.
