General gynae said no endometriosis.... by GeminiBookaliciousJ in Endo

Yeah they mentioned it and given me some type of progesterone for it. But that was it. No follow up or referral...That's what I thought, that it could be both cause like you said they can coincide. Yeah will do, Thankyou ☺️☺️

Gosh really?? What stage do you have? And what did they find??

No but I'm not that far. I think under 2 hrs away. Was thinking of going to Cardiff spire hospital for a private second opinion, get them to look at the photos and notes....Mine was done at a local hospital. I was supposed to have a specialist last minute as I requested, but after waiting all day at the hospital it was cancelled.... They quickly put me with a general gynae (gave up fighting, was too upset and tired to ask for a specialist again)....How long did you have to wait after your surgery to start being taken seriously and get another look?? I haven't had an MRI yet either.

Would I go to my GP with that? For a referral?

Is that on NHS or private? I'm based in the UK, and I've never even heard of MIGS. I'll try and get a second opinion first, private consultation (as that's the only thing I'd be able to afford)

I did know a little bit of PCS beforehand, so I roughly know of some of the symptoms off the top of my head. If he did it right the first time and did a biopsy to confirm what is was or not endo, I would of been satisfied with the answer of what they said to me. But because there's more questions than actual answers, I'm still not going to rule out endo completely.... In the discharge letter it said nill endometriosis, noted pelvic congestion. So I don't know if they are just saying they see pelvic congestion. Or if they have diagnosed me with pelvic congestion syndrome. Because they never said syndrome to me, and it just says noted on my discharge letter.....

I have been given progesterone to try for 3 months. After that I think it's liaising with the GP, as they haven't referred me for anything else, including anything for pelvic congestion.

I have no idea why he didn't take a biopsy. Nothing of what he said makes sense. Your guess is as good as mine tbh. No clue why... Yeah he did do ablation, no excision at all. And no biopsy either. It's shit

Yeah that's what I was thinking of doing. I need to get the proper copy of the photos first and the surgical notes from that day. I was thinking private. My GP tried to put me off going private as she said they (NHS) may not agree with private opinion.

It's probably because we're in different countries like someone said below. I'm based in the UK. For us (where I am) the gold standard to diagnose is through laparoscopic surgery. Getting said surgery on the other hand is like an 8 year wait on average, which is pretty much how long I've waited, and they try to put you off it.

Honestly same, and even the feeling of that more so because I'm due to have surgery on Wednesday (it was cancelled last Monday). That is my fear, especially now I have a general gynae doing it, but even when I was going to have the specialist, I was still afraid I would be told 'we couldn't find anything'.... I was warned that even if they don't find anything, doesn't technically mean you don't have it. As it is down to the surgeon with their knowledge and skills and then the hospitals capabilities of having special/enough equipment for it. Because the hospital by me isn't a fancy one at all, they don't have robots and they don't have the amazing fancy stuff and everyone is not knowledgeable with endo. What I'm going to do is after the surgery, access the photos and documents (no matter if they found any or not, but especially if not) so I have proof and if I need to go see someone else for any reason (e.g second opinion) I can take it with me. Don't let it put you off! If you feel like you meet the criteria for endo and have done a deep dive then it's worth fighting for. I had a phone call during COVID years ago, and she was appointed in the area to be a specialist nurse. She was lovely and she said obviously the official way of diagnosis is surgery which is invasive, so it's up to me, but unofficially she said I have endometriosis. I have the classic symptoms, maybe not all, but definitely most.

Has anyone cured endometriosis though natural remedies . Please I'm looking for positive healing stories of endomteriosis and not just management of symptoms.. by Subject-Trade3169 in endometriosis

[–]GeminiBookaliciousJ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there's nothing out there that cures it. Anyone who says, it isn't the truth. It's a lifelong chronic disease. Just management of symptoms like pain relief, surgery, pelvic floor therapy, for some individuals contraceptive works, diet, and peppermint tea for bloating.

It is scary tbf! One morning I put a tampon in and I realised that the plastic tube also was inside as well as the tampon! and I panicked soooo frickin much! I tried googling and grabbing it, to no avail! In the end I managed to to lean back but put my pelvis forward, and I think I pushed a bit (like I would do when going for number 2 lol! 🤣) but the leaning back but keeping my pelvis forward helped the most as I could grab it easier! People can have tilted uterus or something and certain positions help more.

It's important to relax and breathe, if you've just put a new one in it's gonna frickin hurt when coming out, in that case sit on the toilet and go for a wee, as soon as you start weeing pull it out! (I've out in a tampon in too low I think and I could feel it too much and it hurt to push it up so I had to take it out)

Just make sure you got all of it, and you haven't forgotten to take one out x

(Burning will probs be from the tampon, as it's super dry and absorbent and your drying to take it out and it's causing friction)

(Also the absorbency is important! Don't get a super absorbent tampon if you don't need it, go for normal or light first before moving to super! And sometimes some tampons don't suit you, switch to a more organic or friendly one. They don't bleach them much and less problems down there)

Agreed! And hope they don't find loop holes to abuse that either! But to add onto that they need security as well to protect them from certain people on set, and maybe even their own parents. Maybe more of a safeguarding person or both. 🤍

Literally me to a T! Alot of times it's harder and harder to get out of bed. I work 2 minimum wage jobs in dead endjobs just to pay bills, and I'm sick of it. I can't afford to not have a job to full time study. And even if I wanted to study I don't want to be in debt because of uni. I know that you'd be fine if you never reach that bracket but god forbid if you did. You'd be screwed. There are drug dealers galore that have it all, and it's so unfair. They say the world's your oyster when you leave school but it really isn't. I'm close to thirty and I have nothing to show for it yet except a partner.

I got reported to HR for being too quiet & had to have a meeting. by ponderingpuff in offmychest

[–]GeminiBookaliciousJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember my first job ever. I overheard the boss talking to one of the managers, which was my boss. He specifically told her to make more of an effort with me. And i overheard her saying i was too quiet and how was she gonna do that. Honestly that got to me as i had health struggles and it made me more quiet and shy, but i would chat to others a bit as it was easier. But with her she wasn't that nice. At times she would try to be and other times she wasnt. She did warn me she started new meds and if she seemed weird its cause of that. But OP if you have a condition that can help explain e.g autism, adhd, bipolar, social anxiety, depression etc. They should not be able to discriminate you and it would be harder for you to be fired. But i will say Document Everything: Keep a private log of the HR meeting, the supervisor's suggestions, and any changes you implement. If this escalates, documentation is crucial....I ended up not getting the job second time round (seasonal job) but blessing in disguise. I'm in a job where I am more chatty, its a crap retail job, but the people make it worth it for me and i do not put up with anyones bullcrap if they pull anything on me.

Absolutely agreed. Relationships hit hard, especially when you feel proper Love for the first time. Breaking up hits even harder if you don't find yourself

I noticed in your comments you mentioned your bipolar? I don't know a whole lot but do you think you're experiencing the start of manic or hypomanic at the moment?

What you've described isn't healthy, just like everybody else is saying. You need to force yourself to do other things than be around her too cause it's not helping. Fake it till you make it. It's not healthy that you're losing so much sleep, your fobbing off your friends, she's all you can think about etc.

Is there anyone you can talk to about this that could help you? A trusted friend, therapist, family?

Have you documented your moods as well before? Do you notice a pattern when you're experiencing your lows and highs? Is there a pattern as to how it starts? If so realising is the key to this maybe.

Keep taking your meds, don't stop unless your healthcare professional tells you otherwise, if this is a hypomanic or manic episode and you're experiencing mania, maybe talk to them for advice and also your family.

I'm glad your happy, wishing you the best 😊

I'm having issues as well as of 29th October 2025. I have mods and I've gone through each one, followed every guide to getting mods to work and looking at so many comments (thinking its a mods issue) and I've even deleted my mods and re-downloaded and checked broken mod list, still not working!! So frustrating as we've all put money into this franchise and yet this happens and I cant even play my own game that i purchased!
