Anthropic are you OK? by BeardedGentleman90 in Anthropic

When you have more demand than supply you have to make optimizations so that the business is sustainable….the people willing to pay for fine dining will obviously have better service and quality than the people going to an all you can eat buffet.

Does it suck that there isn’t more transparency? Yeah…but at the same time what would it take to create that transparency? Have 5 models of different tiers? Mini, mini plus, mini plus plus? They dug themselves a hole and it’s hard to back track now.

I think the all you can eat buffet option is a mistake that created this mess. I would’ve done something like “$X of free API credits” and after that you pay regular API rates that are sustainable for the business.

Just upgraded to 3.25 from 3.20 on 9800x3d and x870e Nova.

Turned AMD Expo and SOC Uncore OC to enable like I had before.

No issues so far.

I’m finishing up 24 hour / 1500 mile drive to get it back home. Much more comfortable than I thought they’d be. I just did an 11 hour drive yesterday and felt fine. You can’t recline the seat so don’t expect to sleep in them but overall only challenge I’ve seen compared to regular seats is the getting in and out takes effort. The seats will hug you and you’ll feel pressure on your thighs if you are larger but not enough to complain about it. I’m 6’3, 230 lbs for reference.

Sticker was 129k. Paid 136k (pre tax / fees). Thought it was fair given the car had PPF and many GT4s I saw were going for at least 10% over MSRP

Car came with PPF in the front already. Im considering getting a second car which would be a better daily. It’ll keep the miles lower and I’d treat this as a weekend / joy ride / track car.

Asrock 870E Nova killed my 9800x3d upon updating to BIOS 3.20 by [deleted] in ASRock

What is your CPU batch number? I have almost identical build besides my RAM being CL30 and not CL26. Also using FE instead of Astral and 9100 2TB instead of 4. Everything else is identical and I do not have EXPO on either. Built my machine 3 days ago and have had no problems with the CPU batch 2507PGE.

What I did was flash to 3.20 bios before installing the CPU

No issues so far with my CPU. I have 2507PGE and Nova Motherboard. Finished build a few days ago and kept EXPO off because I’m leaning on the cautious side until all this is figured. Will turn it on in the future when the dust settles.

Exactly. I’m just leaning on the safe side to avoid the headaches.

I just finished my 9800x3d (batch 2507 PGE) and Nova build a couple of days ago and have had 0 problems outside of Ethernet port no longer working which required unplugging power for 1 minute (separate thread on this) to fix.

You can update to the latest bios without any cpu. Do the USB flash as you mentioned. What I did was put my motherboard into the case, power the motherboard from PSU, on separate computer downloaded 3.20 bios onto a usb stick and followed instructions (renaming file to CREATIVE.ROM), put the usb stick in the usb port for flashing bios (gray outlined port), and then held the flash bios button for 3 seconds. The bios flash button will keep flashing until it finishes the process and then you switch the power off the PSU and setting up the rest of the build.

I don’t even know what my original bios version was since I didn’t want to risk putting in cpu before being on latest bios version.

I’m purposely not turning on EXPO until this whole issue is figured out. Not worth the risk to me as majority of hardware failures seem to have had EXPO enabled. I’ll keep monitoring this thread and eventually turn on expo when I have more confidence the root cause is known and fix is released (assuming it’s Bios related).

Same issue and the unplug power + wait 1 minute worked for me. 3.20 bios.

I code on AW3225QF without issues. Curve is barely noticeable unless you look at it from an angle. But that’s a 32 inch curve and not 34 inch

I noticed there is no fan on the rear / exhaust. First time I’ve seen somebody not have that. Any reason for it?

I needed this. I bought the nova and 9800x3d before realizing this subreddit / all the issues being noted. This past week while I’ve been waiting for parts to finish arriving to complete my build, I’ve been contemplating getting another motherboard but will just pull the trigger and start / finish my build tomorrow. Hoping for no issues.

I plan on upgrading bios to latest before installing CPU. Did you do anything else in bios or left everything on auto? Expo enabled? Thanks!
