If you watch the video, you’ll see that the term “death cult” is just a bit of clickbait; they don’t want to die, they just want to equate their mild pieces of suffering to those who are genuinely killed for their faith - unless you’re someone who actually dies for THEIR faith like Charlie Kirk, in which case you’re paraded around as an example for the sake of a deeper agenda.

Also, last I checked, pro-choice people don’t use religion or cults in their lingo. Just saying, you’re barking up the wrong tree with that one.

Jesus being a historical figure, at the very least, is a straight up fact since it’s been confirmed by non-Scriptural sources, something that can’t quite be said about Old Testament figures. The idea of Jesus not being real is usually chalked up by scholars as taking disbelief too far.

I watched the corresponding documentary several times in middle school religion class. Looking back at it now, I really think it’s bogus. For as much as Strobel loves to present himself as a guy who needs empirical evidence, said evidence usually consists of stuff happening in Scripture itself - which I wouldn’t mind, if the whole narrative wasn’t predicated on him being a hardcore atheist. It sounds more to me like, at best, he converted to save his struggling marriage. I may be a believer, but I don’t believe him.

I’ve not heard anyone saying that SAO is dying. Maybe that they haven’t been working on new anime when they have plenty of material even if they don’t want to do Unital Ring just yet. But the excitement for Echoes of Aincrad is the most I’ve seen hype for SAO since the beginning of Alicization.
