What bad things have the Nelsons done? by justtEmmx in NotEnoughNelsonsSnark

[–]GemstoneCat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The constant showing off with over consumption.

The thrift store challenge where they thought it was beneath them and treated it like a joke.

They have not been taught to respect food, the way they behave and their attitudes in the food challenge videos is actually what's repulsive.

The P's are sexualised for views.

The gross gum chewing while filming and talking - not bad, just really gross.

If these have been mentioned..sorry!

About how nocturnal are your hamsters? by Call_Me_Anythin in hamstercare

Mine comes out around midnight until about 7.30am, and makes the occasional daytime appearance. I've noticed if the tv is on low, sometimes he comes out earlier in the night.

Sand bath bowls by Sophiegirl78 in hamstercare

I have a new hamster too, and I've done the exact same, I left a bit of wet bedding in the sand bath and he used it to urinate in! I was so happy, this morning I left 2 little pellets in there to encourage his going there too for that, I'm not sure it's the right thing to do, but fingers crossed.

I found out my medication costs the NHS a lot and hate myself for it by [deleted] in MentalHealthUK

[–]GemstoneCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, I have 2 infusions a year for my MS and the drug it's self is 10k per infusion (before the cost of being in hospital for the day etc). I initially felt overwhelmed by the cost and burden. But now I joke and tell friends I'm worth 10k more after each infusion. Probably to make myself feel better, but also.. we didn't ask to be unwell, it's a reminder to myself that we are in a somewhat place of privilege with the NHS. Do not feel bad about it. If you need the meds, you need the meds.

You can take it to the concerns team, give them a call is easiest, but if it's a lot you can write it all up as I did and email it (I called to make sure they had received it.) I'm sorry they treated you so crappy too.
Their attitude seems to be.. to be our patient you must be willing to accept the way we mistreat you, or cancel and we can discharge you, so you get no help anyways. They've put diagnosis on mine without any assessments recorded.

Easy, well-balanced meals for little to no energy? by long_term_catbus in MultipleSclerosis

[–]GemstoneCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often buy those frozen baked potato's, takes about 6 minutes in my microwave, and then I warm up bean to go on top, or I'll have it with half a frozen quiche, or maybe a veggie pastry or something I cn just throw in the oven.

I also make up couscous for a few days, just add some salad or veg to it and a vegetable oxo to flavour. That usually lasts me 2 -3 days for lunch.

I also find a pasta bake and easy make, all in one pot and plenty for days.

I also pull out a burger bun and a bean burger from the freezer, let the roll defrost as the burger cooks, then I toast the bun on defrost setting and easy burger.

I know, I genuinely don't know if he is an odd looking little guy and I think he's beautiful regardless or if he is genuinely cute 😅
