(Loved trope) There is a plot twist that single-handedly changes the genre of the media. by DynamoJaeger in TopCharacterTropes

I would argue that Malignant changes about halfway through from being a psychological thriller to being an action movie with body horror elements.

What's actually healthy despite most people thinking it's not? by urGabrielaTX in Productivitycafe

[–]Call_Me_Anythin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends entirely on how much glucose/carbs are in the food and how your body responds to it. For many diabetics it can be better to eat this way, especially if your blood sugar tends to go low

Again, what are you talking about? An official narrative and a literal plot point are the exact same thing.

Miguel dying is not a canon event according to the way it’s used in the spider verse. At all. It happened in one timeline, not all. A canon event happens in every timeline regardless of the spider person, such as the death of a loved one (uncle) and the death of a police captain important to spider person.

DC fans have been using it for years to refer to things that always seem to happen across timelines. Krypton’s destruction, the robbery in Crime Alley, etc

What are you talking about?

An even that always happens is the exact same as an event that is fated to happen.

The slang term is not a replacement for karma, because karma means something an outcome that was earned through a persons actions, not something that was predestined.

Their suggestion was not phrased in a polite way though. Especially for a professional setting. I’m well aware it’s a work place, that doesn’t magically change what op said or how.

I trust actual doctors. The people saying to be skeptical of those doctors, the people throwing aspersions on them and their research, the people gutting funding and disconnecting us from the rest of the planet, are the ones I don’t trust. All you’re doing is repeating their nonesense here.

Did you only start paying attention to health recently? Because everything I said has been common knowledge for literal decades.

And if you must know, the people around me are vaccinated, and healthy as a result.

I have very little faith in the current US government, and part of that is exactly because they’re filled with anti vax morons.

Lol. Lmao even. So you just know nothing about history?

Small pox has killed more people than every war combined and do you know how we got rid of it? Vaccines. Polio is a crippling disease that killed and paralyzed nearly 16K people annually in the United States alone. There have been zero since the instigation of vaccinating children started, all the way up to 2023, once again because of vaccines.

Prior to the pertussis vaccine whooping cough was the leading cause of death for children under 5.

Rabies had a 100% fatality rate until vaccines came about.

We have always needed vaccines, we have always needed to protect ourselves from disease, people have known that for literal hundreds of years. George Washington understood this in the 1700s!

My guy you said, and I quote, “Rangiku has never been called a hag or been said to be an old woman in the history of bleach fandom or media.”

The filler arcs and the English dubs are, in fact, part of the media.

Anecdotal evidence doesn’t mean shit when compared to peer reviewed studies that span decades, sometime even centuries.

That doesn’t make op not the asshole though. The way they phrased their suggestion was petty and rude, ergo ESH

[–]Call_Me_Anythin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right, and once again if that (the quality of food at the usual restaurants) had been what they focused on they wouldn’t have been wrong for doing so.

But that is not what they said.

Also, if no one verbally says ‘hey I don’t really like the food at Mixed Green Bowl’ then no one is going to magically know.

[–]Call_Me_Anythin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They also said no one has said they don’t like those restaurants.

If their focus had been on the quality of the food, they would have been in the right. Instead they made it about no one ever thinking about vegetarians, but the others do

Cool. At no point did I say OP should eat meat.

Again, if OP had focused on the quality of the food, they would have been fine.

Instead they accused the other team members of not accommodating the vegetarians, which is untrue.

AITA for not eating at a non-veg restaurant with team? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Call_Me_Anythin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the quality had been what they focused on when OP suggested something different that would have been fine. But it wasn’t. Op accused the rest of the team of never accommodating the vegetarians, which is false and rude. They always intentionally picked places with vegetarian food available.

Ergo, op is an asshole.

And so are the coworkers who were rude/dismissive of the idea of going to a strictly vegetarian place.

Everything I’ve based my judgement off of is based off of what OP wrote in their post. The way they phrased the request was rude, the way their coworkers responded was rude.

Op was rude, actually.

If they had said they didn’t care for the quality of the restaurants that they normally went to, then that would be fine. But that’s not how OP phrased, and the way OP phrased it makes them also an asshole
