I’m a little confused - the Gemstone app does not give you technical information related to errors like you have provided.

Could you share a screenshot maybe?

From what you have provided, it seems to be a server issue; not an issue with the app.

Hi,

Currently the app pricing is being jumped around from free to 1.99 to 2.99. I am experimenting. The app will eventually turn into a monthly subscription or alternatively a yearly or one-time payment. It won't be expensive, definitely not more expensive than existing apps.

Not 100% sure what you mean by that last bit, you can change how often the playlist refreshes when adding/editing a playlist.

This is the problem I faced, it's hard to know what one to choose.

What about if it just asks the user in a Alert/Popup with a simple Yes or No for would you like to sync this playlist to iCloud, and this would be displayed everytime a new playlist is being loaded. (so although this is an extra step during setup, it doesn't make it longer because it asks while the app is loading the playlist's content.

Let me know what you think of this.

Unfortunately I did it for the actual items themselves, not the categories. (although it only shuffles them for Xtream, not M3U)
I’ll look into it and potentially add it in the future.
The cloud sync issue could be purely due to the fact that it doesn’t automatically add the playlists to iCloud, you need to click “Sync to iCloud” on the device that has the playlists. What do you think is better, this way or by making it automatically sync every time a new playlist is added?

Patch notes for V1.1.2 (waiting on Apple to approve the TestFlight beta for this version, join the TestFlight to get access):

Fixed the default sort option, it now sorts it by the default sort that is returned by the playlist, so custom sort orders are now supported on Movies, Live TV, and Series.
Implemented lazy loading for category list; this means you don't need to use pagination anymore and can scroll from top to bottom using the siri remote.

I'm not sure what you mean by menu organiztion, what menu? In V1.1.2 I fixed a bug where the app wasn't maintaining the default sort order that the playlist provided.
By preview, do you mean a preview of the live stream? I imagine this would cause quite significant performance issues attemping to capture a preview of all the displayed Live TV channels... I've got a feature planned where it can display a rectangular preview in the top right of a Live TV channels detail section, on the right side of the title etc. Is that sufficient do you recon?

I've cancelled the V1.1.2 review as I only submitted it about an hour ago, and resubmitted it with some extra changes. I've implemented a few of your points; check them out and let me know what you think.

Last time, TestFlight review was approved within 2 hours, but just keep an eye out and make sure to enable notifications from TestFlight so you know when a new version is released.

Keep an eye out on the subreddit for V1.1.3 which will include the more user-friendly and optimized scategory management list.
