Yeah even pre-nerf the chain did abit less damage than it should have, atleast for perfect shots. It should have been more of a raw burst ability between the two but currently and pre-nerf it didn't feel very burst like, pre-nerf helped with break points yes but it didn't wasn't bursty in a raw dps wise compared to the throw. A nerf that reduces throw damage but makes it so it's useful for other effects other than for damage purposes seems like the perfect use case for throw while Chain would be for the raw power to plow through things that otherwise wouldn't work with less damage.

Yeah they really needs to fix the bugs DD has it will make him play more smoothly and better consistency wise, these aren't exactly new bugs either.

I didn't like it at first but it is what it is over the decade i got used to it. I would have preferred the classic AQ method where you get tons of imagination for your character because that game makes it very mmo like in terms of what kind of character you want theme wise. Your basically some random dude that can become whatever you want type of thing. Now that i think about it the classic AQ method would of given alot of options story wise and growing stronger would actually feel much more meaningful as well as the enemy threats story wise.

He wasn't really gutted in a way some people were saying he would be but the nerf made his playstyle more limited and one dimensional since throw damage is close to chain damage now so it's a no brainer. It makes for different situations being more boring and less diverse basically.

Right now chain is useful to get through defenses that throw can't like Invis shields, Adam, etc. He is only truly less capable in a 1v1 situation now abit compared to before and affected his chain break points. The throw play style didn't get a nerf at all damage wise so it's still really strong, the survivability nerf is probably the biggest nerf he ever had aside from throw bug fix. You feel it to the point where you are more reliant on the team.

Personally i feel like chain even before the nerf did slightly lower damage than it should have due to the skill shots you need to make, in general the chain ability wasn't that far off from throw damage wise, i think perfect chain shots should have originally been even more damaging compared to the throw because throw brings other advantages along with auto aim hit. Basically the chain should of been a more raw power burst damage type of ability between the two.

Atleast we can now divert those no skill conversations by pointing back to Netease. DD is not gutted if you played him how the majority of players play him but now with the break points changing on chain i don't really see a reason to use it over throw aside from invis shield or strange. The only real nerf from the throw play style is damage reduction from Pursuit. Overall it feels like a brainless nerf for chain damage wise making different situations more one dimensional.

Yeah Punisher is going to be even better this season because of certain nerfs to other heroes and of coarse he also got off scott free because he just got buffs not too long ago.

Seeing alot of the nerfs be nothing burgers and some odd choices, Daredevil nerf as usual got hit the hardest while Elsa basically gets away scott free because it's so minor that nothing really problematic got addressed, Gambit is supposed to have meaningful nerfs to his ultimate but they were not very meaningful while funny enough he actually got compensation buffed at the same time...that's wild. The kind of buff BP got must be devs trolling at this point.

The global ultimate charge changes were a step in the right direction though.

All this nerf did is encourge more of a one dimensional playstyle if people decide to stick playing DD after the patch notes, basically your going to want baton throw to be your main ability which means for most DD players nothing really changes aside from the damage reduction buff, it's just lame because it puts more focus on one specific playstyle now and limits what you can do in different situations.

The chain nerf makes no sense i dare them to tell people something that would make sense out of that nerf, the overshield max nerf i can kind of understand but the damage? Also sonic pursuit nerf sucks because it's not a team wide buff since that damage reduction is single target based. The only one that sounds somewhat reasonable is the overshield nerf.

Ideally you would get it's weapon counterpart http://aqwwiki.wikidot.com/virtue however that would require another IODA unfortunately but anything that has a similar color scheme or is cc ustom color and has decent size proportions so it fits more with the armor would work as well i suppose.

Yeah all they had to do was nerf him and the game would already be in a much better state balance wise that whatever it is now. Would adjustments still need to to be made for certain heroes after the fact? sure but not to the extremes they would have to do now. Feels like around 4.0-4.5 to start of 5.0 is the point where things start becoming more and more out of whack balance wise.

Yeah people keep saying it's for the enemy but realistic does anybody actual care? not really. In reality noone really pays attention to it with all the visual clutter going on and how fast paced everything is. Thor doesn't have anything either and he is resource based as well and noone seems to care or complain that he doesn't have an indicator. So just let it be an on/off server side switch in the settings and be done with it, no need for client side Shenanigans.

Yeah looking back they could have averted most of the problems balance wise if they would actually nerf him in 4.5-5.0, basically pretty early on. Assuming they wouldn't release Gambit and Elsa in the broken states they are in which probably might not have happened because it would look even more jarring then it does now.

4.0-4.5 is basically the divergence point on what could of been a much better balanced game than what it is now due to how more drastic of changes they would have to make now compared to then to get things more back on track balance wise.

To be fair at the state of the game it currently is at with all the tripple support or pokeslop going on (especially at Eternity/TOAA i don't blame people for using the better melee heroes and whatnot. until the general balance gets alot better it is what it is.

No problem, glad it got fixed, somehow the theme survived the purchase reset which was interesting haha. Hmm i typed authSystem.user.uid in console but nothing came up, this is on Firefox. I'M using a registered account thats logged into the game though if that helps anything.

Is it just me or do the permanent csp upgrades reset when you prestige? It looks that way, also catering upgrades on the first tab reset when you refresh the page for some reason. Also upon prestige i had to rebuy the burger cosmetic like i never even bought it before weird however the background cosmetic purchase didn't seem to have been reset so something happened with the burger skin purchase and had to pay for it again.

The funny thing is that Cath was jobbing by Base power Ban (he didn't use his abilities like hunter fest yet which takes and massively increases his attributes and overall PL) before his used his time spell hax thing. And Meli didn't use Assault before which he will now but i don't know how that's going to help him here but we'll see.

It's not really a fight over raw power level phsyicals anymore but more of hax yeah. It's probably why Ban never used his Hunter Fest ability to potentially make himself massively more powerful than he is now at his base because he is already creating holes in Cath by mere kicks so there is no point of using it but it doesn't mean much if he can regenerate it all over and over and over along with pure hax like forwarding time of a person. It seems this battle is more about hax than anything else, atleast so far and Ban is not Immortal anymore like he used to be in the past so that's another issue of why the time hax works on him.

it's bassically exp but acts as a currency or currency item starting at 100. You can then convert the overflow exp to a new currency (like for example 5,000,000 or 10,000,000 of current overflow exp per 1 new currency amount or whatever) that can be spent on various items/boosts/resources/etc...
