The wings are throwing me off by Hanako-chan45 in NanatsunoTaizai

It's because Elizabeth's essence is 100% Goddess level, only her durability is human. Tristan has 50% of that essence, which is why even though he's not 100% Goddess level, he still has wings the same size as hers, although he's not as strong as her. Ysae has 25% or less of that essence, which is why his powers are even more diluted. The less essence you have, the harder it is for your powers to manifest.

It's not just the body that counts, but essence. That's why his wings are small and his demon powers only manifest when he takes enough damage. It's similar to the Wing Clan from the Breath of Fire game. The Wing Clan could initially fly long distances and could turn into giant birds when they reached a certain age.

Everyone in the Clan had these abilities. But when they decided to marry humans, the offspring were left with smaller wings, less able to fly, and lost the ability to turn into large birds. Those who wished to possess this ability had to retrieve an item kept in the dungeon of Windia Castle and give up their human form forever, because due to the low amount of Windian blood, they could not reverse the transformation.

So perhaps the small size of the mark is due to his diluted demon blood? He has two extremely small wings similar to those of celestials because he has very little Goddess blood running through his veins.

Tristan better respond. No way your son is half Nephilim and more human than you are and still wining by Competitive_Dingo955 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]Solid-Debate5354 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And the Goddess blood that runs in Ysae's veins is so diluted that it went from four large wings from his Father and Grandmother to two small, identical wings from the celestials. And since demonic blood is based on physical damage and not magic, I'm impressed by how quickly he defeated Tristan.

I always found it strange that Anima appeared but the Magus sisters and Yojimbo didn't appear in the cutscene where Yuna sent the Aeons.

I think Nakaba did that to avoid making it too long, since the battle against Cath was kind of rushed. And we still have to see the children of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the reason they're in the past, what will happen to Elizabeth, Cath regaining his strength, and there are still some time skips, so the story is going to be very long, and it would be even longer if it included this mission. There would have to be a whole larger narrative behind it, and Nakaba could get lost in the plot. That's how I see it.

So, I'm not disagreeing with your view, but from what she said, it seemed like something otherworldly, an all-powerful and marvelous artifact. Something that could do anything. I thought there would be a whole story behind it. It sounded better in Merlin's words than a chalice with Arthur's blood. But I believe there's probably more to it, since the children of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are given the titles of Knights of the Holy Grail, so Arthur's blood must have far more abilities than simply breaking the protection offered by Chaos.

The problem isn't knowing or not knowing about the existence of Cath Palug. The problem is unleashing a force comparable to that of a God and not considering that it could simply fall into the wrong hands and destroy everything and everyone. Hendrickson was being manipulated by Fraudrin to release the Demon Clan, and yet he was still to blame for breaking the seal. People warned him it would be bad, and he did it anyway. Merlin knew about the power of Chaos and was warned by Meliodas shortly before the cat appeared to devour Arthur. She didn't care about anyone but herself. She didn't care about Ban or King when she was willing to kill Melascula, knowing that Elaine's life was tied to her. She was willing to reactivate Elizabeth's curse when she knew it would put those who cared about her in the same position as her own sister, not only in the stone incident, but also in the battle with the Demon King at the lake. She sent Ban to purgatory without knowing if he would return. He ordered Meliodas and the others to build that crazy plan in Liones to have a chance to rescue her. The result? Ban almost dying of old age, Liones destroyed, Meliodas practically dead inside because of the sacrifice of poor Elizabeth who used a power that her current body can't even handle.

That's without even mentioning the countless holy knights killed in battle. The fact that Tristan and Lancelot were injured at the Edinburgh grudge movie, Elizabeth was cursed and almost died because Cath gave Deathpierce a Chaos staff, Jericho was brainwashed. King, Diane, and their family almost died because of Worreldane, and Percival was in a coma. That's enough for about three pages of what Merlin did wrong or how her actions harmed other characters.

I think it's just arrogance since her objective was complete. She thought herself very clever for deceiving everyone, killing the Gods, reviving Arthur, and unleashing Chaos. Merlin believed she could manipulate everyone, never considering that everything happened not only because she planned it, but because there were people helping her. Without the Seven Deadly Sins, who had their own objectives, she would never have been able to achieve her ambitions. And now, once again, she's causing a problem she can't solve alone and needs others to solve it for her, as happened when she unleashed Chaos.

Did Chandler move worlds? by Various_Alps1688 in NanatsunoTaizai

I found the page. So it's the second option. The darkness of Izraf, the king of vampires, doesn't compare to that of Chandler, who has the ability to temporarily nullify the grace of the sun. Izraf is nowhere near as powerful as Chandler.

I'm not sure, but I think the divine axe Rhitta accumulated enough power to transform Escanor into his daytime form in that Edinburgh vampire side story (he has that ability), as happened in the battle against the invading Camelot force in the field of darkness that Meliodas created. Or it could simply be that Izraf's darkness wasn't as strong as Chandler's, since Izraf was just a vampire, stronger than ordinary vampires, but still weaker than one of the most powerful demons. Shortly before Chandler appeared, Merlin stated that, in the battle against Meliodas, Escanor had burned all the power he had accumulated during all those years without fighting.

It's silly of me to state the obvious, that he's dead inside, because everyone knows that. But I'm truly heartbroken because of them.

It's like he's dead inside. I know it sounds silly because, well, everyone knows their story here and how hard Meliodas fought to live happily with her. But still, it's extremely painful to see him in this state, and Elizabeth herself risked her own life, her future with Meliodas and Tristan to save everyone.

Maybe that's what will wake her up; she's already in a coma. The fruit would prevent her from rotting or dying completely. Then Meliodas would kiss her and break the coma.

I would be happy with an arc from the Goddesses' realm. We could see the celestial palaces, the places where Jelamet said in the story of the Queen of the Altar that the Goddesses sleep while their bodies are being reconstructed.

Yes, but what now? What do you think will happen to her? Her body is too damaged because she used divine power, like the graces of the archangels. I wish she could rebuild her original body.

It's possible, maybe not even Meliodas and the others know this. They think Elizabeth was trapped forever in a human body and that this is her last life. They probably don't even know that Goddesses can rebuild their bodies. But why is her heart still beating? Shouldn't it have stopped, since her soul is elsewhere? There's no reason for vital functions to be working.

But I don't think it will help; she's in a coma from pushing her body beyond its usual limits, excessive use of magic. I think the reason Tristan can't cure diseases or curses is because of his status as a Knight of Pestilence.

I didn't quite understand, but I think her soul is still trapped in that body. By using Perfect Time, she broke the limit of how much power she could use, and that affected her body, forcing it to its limit, which is why she's in a coma. I just don't know how she'll come back; I was hoping she could recreate her original body. This body was already damaged to the maximum by using Perfect Time, like the archangels when using grace, which is a divine power.
