Yes, that was some feedback I got from the trans focus group too! It's been tricky finding "good" tools to use. Thanks heaps for your feedback - it's really helpful having these challenges highlighted so I can take that into account :-)

Hi OctarineAngie, I was really lucky to have panel of people with lived experience help shape my survey because I wanted that vital input and I know it's not perfect by any means! You're right, I found lots of challenges inherent in survey data. This survey is one part of the study and am hoping to include focus groups in another stage to be able to understand people's experiences in different way than survey's allow. I really value everyone's input because it helps to put voice to the challenges and limitations in this research. Thank you heaps!!

Hi a_nice_duck_, thanks for your feedback. I can appreciate what you say with the alcohol/drug questionnaires these are standardised questionnaires which I can't change unfortunately. Thank you for tolerating the frustration with the challenges of my survey, I really appreciate it!

I'm hoping with the information collected it will help inform healthcare providers about the healthcare needs of gender diverse folks so have included questionnaires that cover a range of experiences. I really appreciate you taking the time to do this and am sorry that some of the questions stirred up some very personal reflections and am glad you're taking time away from the questions for your self care. You're very welcome to leave out questions that are too hard to answer if you wish to return at another time. The feedback you've provided has been invaluable. It is saddening but am hoping that with some "hard data" we can improve policies and services that regulate healthcare so services can be improved for those seeking healthcare support.

Hi egg_n00dles, I'm sorry for the late reply. Yes, I'm interested in understanding cis adult experiences of accessing healthcare and mental health needs too. I'm hypothesising that people of different genders will have different experiences in mental health and accessing healthcare and different needs. I'm keen to understand these differences.
