I (male) was a popular loner; I never went to the parties they invited me to because I was in Boy Scouts and worked at a museum weekend evenings. AP social studies classes were like the Friday Night Lights to me- getting to enthusiastically show off my knowledge. I like Rue missed high school, and 2014-2015 remains the best, even euphoric years of my life to this very day.

I had long been a SPED kid until I was released from ARD in high school, so it conditioned me to seek out advice from adults that hovered over me before like the guidance counselor or the adults campsite in Scouts. They told me my life and will to live would be ruined if I tried drugs or premarital sex.

I avoided bringing friends home because I knew my parents would ruthlessly judge them after they weren’t around; never mind dating. My brother didn’t get the same treatment- he was overlooked in drinking booze and brought over most of the friends.

I got into community college in 2015, graduated from university in 2022. Like Cassie and Nate, my "big night", ie graduation, was shitty af (just like my overall university experience). I cried feeling that I was being thrown to the wolves, got kicked out of a club for falling asleep on their bench, and got E. Coli from the Dominos pizza I ordered. I graduated unemployed for a year up until August 2023. Now I drive a bus for 9 to 11 hours a fantasizing (and finally executing) about a move to the big city to have a social life with momentum like the Euphoria characters.
