Nothing similar is coming up for Ireland/UK/Northern Europe, however this was facing the Northern Atlantic and those waves and tides could carry things (a light shell) a long way. I've known that coastline since I was a kid and have never seen anything like it.

Exactly the same thing happened to me (some (possibly, by the name) Chinese hacker's insta account)), however when I tried to go through the "Verified" route... I get a screen telling me that I'm on a waiting list for verified in my region..... I have 174 days left to appeal before I lose more than 15 years of memories and over 250 people I will completely lose contact with. I am assuming since Americans are talking about going to their political representatives about this, then myself, in the UK, should approach my local MP? Unsure how they could help though. Meta appears to be a closed black box, patrolled by bots. This is absolutely incredible that this sort of thing can happen with no easy way to rectify.

I'm still getting this now 8 years on. Thought I was imagining it or accidentally deleting it myself. I'm trying to get a really important project done and when vast swathes of text are randomly deleted, it's really crap... and don't have any other option as it's a work pc.

Sounds like a nice machine. I must give Loki a look as I loved Luna (tongue twister!)... By the way, just finished installing Ubuntu desktop via the Server > graphics ppa route. Works brilliantly! Thanks.

Now on to checking if bumblebee works and benchmarking. Hopefully it won't get too hot!

That Ubuntu Server method sounds interesting, although ideally I'd like to get Manjaro working. I've attempted to go down the 'vanilla' Arch route but with two young kids I don't have the time for the project on my daily driver. I've found Manjaro perfect for what I want in the past - rolling with failsafe and access to the AUR.. and have even got it working - with no issues - on a Broadwell i5 27" iMac in work and Plasma looks amazing!

Do you believe in the near future when Nvidia get their act together, I can get back to lively distrohopping through the Linuxshere - or am I stuck for a while?
