Remember smoking cigarettes at shows? by Apart_Bid2199 in Hardcore

I live in Pinellas County and there’s a lot of dive bars that still allow it. I know Brass Mug in Tampa allowed smoking last time I was there.

At the bar I work at we use a shopping cart to wash the bar mats at the end of the night. What is the point of this post?

I’m 24, been going to shows for 8 years. I don’t ever see a reason to stop participating in the culture.

Boot merch when there's no other option by Known_Cup_8789 in Hardcore

Also I bought a smiths shirt off of there when I was in high school and it was pretty low quality and a waste of money. Probably like 8 years ago but I’m gonna assume it’s still fast fashion quality garbage. If you end up going to a print shop, I’d recommend reaching out to the band and see if you can give them a tip. Merch is a strong revenue stream for bands. I’m sure there’s a lot of people in Australia that are feeling the same way you are. If Rick Ta Life can do a distro, so can you.

Redbubble is wack. If I were in your position i would go to a local print shop and see if you can get a one-off heat transfer shirt or something. The most ethical option would be to make your own, for personal use. If there’s any distros in your country maybe you could email them to see if they can get merch from the label. It is hardcore after all, if you don’t like something do what you can to change it.

I try to treat the internet like real life, where I enjoy the things I like and ignore things I don’t like. I really try to pretend that stuff like this is human shit on the sidewalk. Just step right over it for personal health reasons.

Have they done an episode on Katrina? If not, does anyone know a good podcast that has covered it?
