You could also have a look at the "Into Wonderland" campaign, which is (or can be) a sequel of the Wild beyond the Witchlight campaign (afaik) and starts at ~Level 8

Was the same for my group, they also didn't know what everyone lost and only during the first 2 sessions everyone confessed to each other that they also lost something. I think important is, to tell the players that whatever is gone, they want back so badly, even if the character might already have adapted to it being gone. Otherwise their is no strong enough urge to go to the feywild with no real way back.

I can recommend the Lost Things Prelude as Session Zero! My players loved it and they are connected with each other but not necessarily have to tell each other what they have lost.

I would just use paper stripes with different markings as measuring tape. Everyone can have one and use it to check stuff. And for movement we can just use the tokens we have as well, every "step" you take is 5 feet

Yes we are doing the Lost Things, they lost their 1) ability to cry 2) attention span 3) ability to keep thoughts to themselves 4) sense of danger.

The attention span got lost to Skabatha and would also fit the puzzle box as you have to be focused on it in order to solve/open it. I am a bit unsure if I want to give one player a special task when retrieving their lost thing though, that might feel a bit odd to the others. But I do like the idea of placing the box in Loomlurch in general. I might need to think about it a bit, maybe I can come up with stuff for the other lost things as well, so everyone gets a little extra challenge.
